Greetings!

It's great to be back in the Editor in chief's chair for Cable line again. We are looking forward to trying a few new things in Cable line, hopefully increasing our footprint online! - Mr. Jose Luis E. Dabao -

Change has come to the and to the PCTA. We have new administration and an updated set of bylaws and hopefully cable can find its place in the sun! The laws that govern us are so antiquated they hinder us from helping our country to develop and your association in close partnership with our regulators are working together to update these, in order to help us grow our business and help the country. After all, these things are not mutually exclusive.

While we are doing this, we need the help of the membership to shore up our current positions. Engr. Neil Tagabi has written a piece about the proposed frequency sharing and it is incredibly important we help. TheNTC updated their database with the locations of our TVRO’s so we can ensure that they don’t allow the rollout of technology that can jam our satellite reception.

The Department of ICT is a brand new creation, and while it is still finding its legs, we are in touch with them to ensure we can help bridge the massive connectivity gaps in the countryside, where our presence is strong.

It's still in the early going, but if you want us to discuss anything with our regulators please let us know!

Reach out to your directors via your secretariat Telefax: (02) 638-85-44 Facebook: Facebook.com/pcta.org.ph
