Raincoats and Ba~ges . . a. ~equir~ments are to be drawn by RM establishments from the Supen ntendingYlctualhng Store Officer, South Western Area. Initially, demands sh~)Uld be restncted to the estimated quantities required to meet actual inissue particular comrrutments. sizes. Care should be taken not to accumulate unbalanced stocks b. Arrangements for the issue and fitting of raincoats for entitled officers and other ranks who are serving in HM ships or detached appointments are to be made with the nearest RM establishment either by Detachment Commanders or individuals as appropriate. 2 Greatcoats. Greatcoats withdrawn under these arrangements are to be used to ~tablish loan pools within RM Groups, as directed by the Commandant General Royal Marines. Such pools will be maintained for temporary loan issues for ceremonial occasions when ordered, and for use by dutymen in bad weather within RM Units as required. The balance of greatcoats over and above the pool requirements is to be returned to SVSO, SWA for retention as a maintenance reserve. HM ships at home may if necessary appl~ t?
