AT SHERATON GRANDE SUKHUMVIT MARCH 19, 2019 TICC announced and awarded the 52 Authentic Italian Restaurants on stage, and the new Italian Cuisine Guidebook to Thailand “Discovering Italy in 20 Regions (2020)” has been revealed. Together with the Embassy of Italy, Tourist Board Authority of Italy (ENIT), Italian Trade Agency, several sponsors have participated in the creation of this successful event. The event was under the Patronage of Alma – International School of Italian Cuisine and AVPN – Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana.

TICC’s Annual Christmas Charity Dinner 2019 was in support of the Vejdusit Foundation. The Foundation began its mission by providing medical support to financially challenged patients and till today does the same providing free medical care to low-income patients.

The success of this dinner would not be possible without the support of TICC President Mr. Federico Cardini, the Board of Directors, the great sponsors and the members of the Chamber that made the event unforgettable.

TICC would like to sincerely thank His Excellency Mr. Lorenzo Galanti, Italian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand for gracing us with his presence along with the Italian Embassy and other institutions. ACTIVITIES 2019 ASIA – AFRICA SUMMIT 2019 AT SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, BANGKOK – APRIL 1, 2019

TICC, hosted the Annual Italian Chamber reunion in Bangkok. TICC President Cardini has opened the event involving 14 Italian Chambers of Commerce from 14 countries representing a network of over 3000 companies, and 4 Chambers in the process being officially recognized by Italian government.

The summit highlighted how the Italian business is growing towards Asia and African countries. The entrepreneurs find in the Chambers of Commerce reliable expertise in developing business among several countries. In 2018 the Chambers has achieved a stunning record providing services for €7 mln to companies and the trend is positive marking Asia and Africa as a market of opportunities.

The Chambers attending the summit were Singapore, Vietnam, India, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Mozambique, Malaysia, Pakistan, Qatar. TICC Secretary General, Mr. Michele Tomea has attended the greatest food fair in Italy with a delegation of selected Thai companies brought by the Department of Foreign Trade of Thailand, DFT.

The companies under the Institute for Agricultural Product Innovation (APi) presented a range of organic, healthy and gluten-free products from over 38 companies that are producers of snacks, drinks, healthy and alternative dressings made by fruits, several ingredients and much more can enter the Italian market.
