Type species of New World Hispinae genera (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)

Abstract Type species designations are reviewed and discussed far six New World Hispinae genera. Valid designations are: Osdiopalpa cyanipennis (Fab.), Homalispa (Homalispa) batesii Baly, H. (Xanthispa) cimicokfes (Gubrin), Demotispa pallid. Baly, Cephaloleia nigricomis (Fab.), and Comliomek brunnea (Thunberg). Ke~ywords: Hispinae; type species. Introduction type species for Xanthispa. The type species is Uhmann's (1957b, 1964) catalogs listed the cimicoides by monotypy (Article 68d). type species of each New World hispine genus.
