A MEETING OF THE & GROVE TRAFFIC ADVISORY COMMITTEE IS TO BE HELD IN THE BEACON, PORTWAY, WANTAGE ON THURSDAY 16 JANUARY 2020 AT 2.30 PM

3. To approve and sign the minutes of the meeting held on 12 September 2019.

5. Matters arising from the previous minutes: a) Update on VAS for Mill Street. b) Update re replacing bollards to avoid HGVs damaging buildings on the corner of Newbury Street/Market Place. c) Update on enforcement actions relating to road conditions at new developments e.g King Alfred’s East Site and Crab Hill. d) Update on problem of speeding vehicles entering 30 mph road section in Ickleton Road from and obscuring of 30 mph sign. e) Update on meeting re cars parking inconsiderately. f) Update re crossing at Lane, Grove. g) Update on complaints about the speed and the volume of traffic on the A338 between Main Street and Oxford Lane junctions causing noise nuisance for properties backing onto facing the roadway. There is a particular problem with the noise caused by motorbikes in the evening. h) Update on Road Infrastructure (roundabouts near the Lord Nelson Public House). i) Update on repairs by dragon patcher to Road. j) Update on Ickleton Road/Ham Road resurfacing. k) Update on re-marking of white lines at the Royal Oak crossroads. l) Update on request for restrictions to prevent HGVs entering the section of Newbury Street from the Royal Oak crossroads. m) Update on Bus stops, including provision of new bus stop in the Wantage Marker Place. n) Update on suitability of signage for vehicles entering Market Place from Newbury Street (vehicles observed travelling along the wrong way on the one-way system in Market Place). o) Update on traffic hold ups arising from buses using stops in Grove Road as staging points for driver changes. p) Update on requests for bollards adjacent to post box by Costcutter in Wallingford Street to prevent vehicles parking too close Post Office Lane access and obstructing sight lines for vehicles exiting Post Office Lane. q) Update on request for resurfacing on – Viewed as dangerous for two- wheel transport. r) Update on request for traffic calming measures to reduce speed of vehicles entering Ormond Road from Wallingford Street. s) Update on overgrown trees at Chain Hill Cemetery. t) Update on foliage near Fitzwaryn School, Denchworth Road
