Hire Childrey Village Hall The hall has a recently installed cinema screen, hearing loop (for the hard of hearing), projector and Wi-Fi. Available to hire for private functions, there is a well-equipped kitchen with crockery, glasses, tea urns, fridge and cooking facilities. Toilet facilities are available. It will accommodate about 100 people standing or 40—50 seated. Tables and chairs are also provided. Pre 17:00 £4 per hour, 17:00 onwards £5 per hour. Church Organ Repairs The St James Singers Concert in October raised a further £320 (+ gift aid) for the organ. The nationwide organization, A Band of Brothers, which was awarded the Queen’s Medal for voluntary service in 2015, is focused primarily on helping disaffected young men within the criminal justice system — many of whom have suffered extreme trauma, addiction and homelessness — to find their place in society.
