The Envision Success Scholarship is a scholarship for individuals who recently received their Maryland High School Diploma and are seeking a two-year degree at Prince George’s Community College. The scholarship provides tuition and fees to student for one year (2 semester – fall and spring). Scholarship recipients are selected among those who meet the eligibility requirements and who are committed to attending Prince George’s Community College.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Candidates must be a resident of Prince George’s County and a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen. • Officially completed the GED or National Diploma Program (NEDP) and awarded a Maryland High School Diploma in the past 18 months. • Maintained “Good Standing” with the PGCC Adult Education Program. • Must demonstrate evidence of college readiness in at least one subject area. • Degree seeker at Prince George’s Community College.

Application Requirements:

• Completed application including one letter of recommendation and essay. • Proof of Prince George’s County Residency • Official GED Transcript or Maryland High School Diploma

For best consideration, your completed application and required documentation should be submitted by June 1.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

ITEMS TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE APPLICATION PACKET – Priority Deadline JUNE 1  Completed and signed scholarship application.  Proof of Prince George’s County Residency (copy of state issued ID).  Official GED Transcript or Maryland High School Diploma.  One letter of recommendation from an instructor or recognized community organization.  Written Essay (200-300 words) describing why you deserve to receive this scholarship.

If selected as an Envision Success Scholar, students must sign a letter of intent agreeing to the following:

1. Participate in special scholarships programming (10 hours of service per semester required). 2. Maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 grade point average. 3. Must maintain full-time (maximum 15 credits) or part-time (minimum 6 credits) enrollment per semester.
