SCHOOL OF APPLIED STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Eligibility & Requirements Application Deadline is February 15th a) Applicant must be a declared undergraduate major/minor in a School of Applied Studies program (Only eligible SAS graduate program is Master of Social Work) b) Applicant must be a current student or have current application at Washburn University. c) Scholarships are awarded for a full academic year (Fall and Spring semester). d) Applicants will be considered for all SAS scholarships for which s/he is eligible. e) To receive any SAS scholarship(s) recipient must write a “thank-you” to the donor(s) acknowledging receipt of the award.
Application Must Include: a) Completed scholarship APPLICATION. b) RESUME including: employment, education, professional activities, honors, recognitions, community activities, and professional memberships. c) NARRATION: describe the events or circumstances which convinced the applicant to major/minor in the particular area, include professional goals, and a statement outlining the applicant’s financial need. d) OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT in a sealed envelope for the following students: • New/Incoming direct from high school students to Washburn, include transcript from the high school and each College/University attended. • Transfer students new to Washburn, transcript from each College/University attended.
Electronic submission, fax or unsealed copies of transcripts will not be accepted.
Notification: Students are notified of awards via MyWashburn accounts.
