2021 Scholarship Opportunities for Anderson County and Oak Ridge High

B & W Y-12 Scholarship: For graduating seniors from ten counties, including Anderson, studying science; for example, bio-medical engineering, environmental science, physics, chemistry, or pre-engineering at Roane State Community College, Pellissippi State Community College, Walters State Community College, Maryville College, Tennessee Technological or the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Note: This scholarship is not intended for those seeking to be health care professionals. Scholarship Amount: $1,400 one-time award for one year

Butterfly Fund Memorial Scholarship To assist graduating high school seniors and current college students pursuing a career in a broad variety of fields within pediatric oncology. Note: Part-time or full-time enrollment permitted. Scholarship Amount: $1,000-$2,000 one-time award for one year

Harold W. Canfield Memorial Scholarship For graduating seniors from 10 counties, including Anderson, pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited not-for-profit college or university. Participation in the Knoxville Track Club (NOT Knoxville Youth Athletics-KYA) required. Scholarship Amount: $1,000 one-time award for one year

Cherish the Child Legacy Scholarship To provide scholarship assistance to eligible students, age 25 or younger, who are or were foster care participants or who received services from Smoky Mountain Children’s Home. Scholarship Amount: $1,800-$3,600 one-time award for one year

Steven L. Coffey Memorial Scholarship To provide assistance to Anderson County residents of all ages as follows: Graduating high school seniors planning to enroll in a Tennessee College of Applied Technology program OR students of all ages who have completed at least one full-time semester at Roane State Community College or Pellissippi State Community College and who are pursuing a STEM course of study. Recipients who continue to meet the program’s requirements are eligible for continued financial assistance to obtain their 4-year degree. Scholarship Amount: $1,500-$2,500 per year award for four years

Steven L. Coffey Middle College Memorial Scholarship *NOTE: Applications will be available for this scholarship on April 1, 2021. Application deadline is June 1, 2021. For rising high school juniors and seniors attending public high in Anderson County who have been accepted into the Roane State Community College Middle College Program. Scholarship Amount: $2,500 per year for up to two years

R.G. & Ruth Crossno Scholarship For graduates of Anderson County High School. Scholarship Amount: $1,400 per year award for four years

Michael D. Curtin Renaissance Memorial Scholarship For graduates of Anderson County High School. Scholarship Amount: $1,000 per year award for four years

James K. Goldston INFOSEC Scholarship Graduating high school seniors, college/university students and adult students from ETF 25-county service area pursuing undergraduate programs of study in computer science, computer engineering, cyber science, information security, OR a National Security Agency-approved Information Security (INFOSEC) curriculum. Open to former recipients. Scholarship Amount: $1,200 one-time award for one year

Barbara G. Kirkpatrick Memorial Scholarship To assist single parent students pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree at East Tennessee State University. Graduating high school seniors, current college students, GED recipients, or returning adult students may apply. Scholarship Amount: $2,000 per year for one year

Knoxville Business Association Scholarship To benefit graduating high school seniors from the nine counties in the Knoxville Metropolitan Statistical Area (Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Grainger, Knox, Loudon, Morgan, Roane, and Union) pursuing a business-related degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Scholarship Amount: $1,500 first year; $2,000 second year; $2,500 third year; $3,000 fourth year

Joe R. and Kathy K. May Scholarship NEW SCHOLARSHIP! To provide financial assistance to residents of Anderson, Blount, Grainger, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Roane, Sevier, or Union counties in TN who may not display the highest scholastic rankings, yet possess potential and motivation, as they pursue their dream of obtaining a college Scholarship Amount: $2,000 one-time award for one year

Rotary Club of Oak Ridge College Founders’ Scholarship For graduating high school seniors from Oak Ridge High School. Note: Part-time or full-time college enrollment is accepted. Scholarship Amount: To Be Determined

Lawrence Strader Boy Scouts of America Scholarship For graduating seniors from 21 counties, including Anderson, who are currently registered members of Boy Scouts of America, Great Smoky Mountain Council, with a minimum of three years’ participation as a Boy Scout. Please note: Female applicants welcome. Scholarship Amount: $3,000 per year award for up to four years

Valkyrie-Thor Scholarship in Theatre Arts Fund To assist graduating high school seniors and college students from ETF’s 25-county region studying theatre arts at Pellissippi State Community College, Roane State Community College, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, or Maryville College. Scholarship Amount: $1,000 one-time award for one year

Debbie Van Cleave Scholarship: The scholarship is intended to benefit legally blind students from ETF’s 25-county service area to pursue higher education. Applicants must be blind with vision of 20/200 or less in the better eye after correction and/or a visual field reduced to 20 degrees or less. Graduating high school seniors, current college/university students, GED recipients, and returning adult students may apply. Scholarship Amount: $1,000 one-time award for one year

Haley Van Pelt Scholarship To benefit students of any age seeking post-secondary education who have a permanent intellectual or developmental disability and/or functional impairment. Scholarship Amount: $1,000 one-time award for one year

Essay Contest: Oak Ridge Rotary Club Brad Sturm Memorial Scholarship For graduating seniors at Oak Ridge High School. Scholarship Amount: To Be Determined
