The Sprouting Scholar Award Is a Scholarship Created for Those Who Possess the Academic Capabilities to Be Exceptional Students

Scholarship Description: The Sprouting Award is a scholarship created for those who possess the academic capabilities to be exceptional . has multiple avenues, many that have yet to be explored by current graduating high seniors. This scholarship is given on the premise that the Sprouting Scholar has yet to reach their peak academic potential or greatest educational achievement. This award is a reminder that there is a community of people hoping to see you sprout into a harvest of knowledge for others to reap.

Application Requirements:

. Must be a current high school senior attending a Broward County Public School . Applicant must have a 2.0 GPA or higher to be eligible . Enroll in an accredited college/ upon graduation . Must have a financial need . Must complete essay

Essay Requirements:

Each applicant is required to write a 1-2 page paper (double spaced) responding to the following:

What life/family experiences do you believe have shaped who you are, and/or what challenges have you overcome to make it to this point in your education (graduating high school and entering college)? Explain why obtaining a college education will be one of your greatest accomplishments.

Scholarship Awards: Four applicants will be chosen for one of the following scholarships:

. Two will each receive a $1,000 scholarship . Two scholars will each receive a $500 scholarship

Scholarship will be mailed directly to the college/university the applicant will be attending.
