FSM SUPREME COURT, PALIKIR – On February 5 2021, in Palikir, Pohnpei, a special proceeding was held at the FSM Supreme Court in Palikir Pohnpei for the admission of two new members of the FSM Bar. The Honorable Beauleen Carl- Worswick, Acting Chief Justice of the FSM Supreme Court, presided over the special proceeding. The two new members of the bar were Mr. Enlet Jr. Enlet. and Mr. Benedict Robert.

Mr. Enlet was born and educated in Chuuk States through high school. He received his Bachelors Degree from Multnomah University in Portland Oregon. In 2017, Mr. Enlet graduated with his law degree (Juris Doctorate) from the Mississippi School of Law. He has worked in numerous legal positions in the mostly in the vicinity of Jackson Mississippi and Portland Oregon. Mr. Enlet currently works as a staff attorney for the FSM Supreme Court. In his capacity as a staff attorney for the Court, he has worked on a number of complex cases for the FSM Supreme Court. Most recently, Mr. Enlet has been involved in the Court’s effort to conduct outreach throughout the FSM and promote Access to Justice.

Mr. Benedict Robert was born and raised in Pohnpei. He is a graduate of Pohnpei Island Central High School. Mr. Robert graduated from the College of FSM, he also completed the COM FSM Trial Counseling Certificate Program. Mr. Robert graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of . Benedict Robert is currently a staff attorney at the Miconesian Legal Services Corporation, Pohnpei branch. Both Mr. Enlet and Mr. Robert took the FSM Supreme Court Bar Exam on October 1, 2020, and successfully passed. The Court (Acting Chief Justice Worswick) congratulated both individuals on this outstanding achievement and reminded them that with this new achievement comes great responsibilities. The FSM is a very young nation and the court looks forward to their contribution to the development of FSM Legal jurisprudence. The administration of oath for the two new bar members were witnessed by family and friends of the Mr. Enlet and Mr. Robert as well as the staff members of the FSM Supreme Court and the Micronesian Legal Services Corporation.
