PRECISION AIR’S IOSA REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE RENEWED

Precision Air Services, the Tanzanian locally owned airline has renewed its IATA’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration effective from 23rd September 2014. Precision Air Services PLC was first added to the IOSA Registry in 2007, after an audit conducted in 2006.

Precision Air Services has renewed the IOSA registration after undergoing an extensive safety audit which is usually conducted every two years. The IOSA program is an internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline and it is mandatory for membership of IATA.

The information was released through a press statement issued yesterday by the company’s corporate communication office.

The statement hinted that the current registration will be valid until September, 22nd 2016 after which the company will undergo another safety audit. Precision Air has successfully renewed its IOSA registration for four (4) times consecutively, in 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014.

The International Air Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world’s airlines, representing some 240 airlines or 84% of total air traffic. IATA’s activities supports the development of a safe, secure and sustainable and it helps formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues.

Precision Air operates daily flights to nine domestic and regional destinations. Operating from its main hub in Dar es Salaam Precision Air flies to Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Mtwara, Kigoma, Mwanza, Bukoba ,Zanzibar and regionally, to Nairobi.
