PRESS RELEASE PRECISION AIR SUPPORT EFFORTS AGAINST CHILDREN CANCER Tanzania’s leading Airline, Precision Air Services Plc has announced new partnership with Tumaini La Maisha, a non-governmental organization dealing with the wellbeing of children suffering from cancer. The announcement was made yesterday through a press conference conducted at Precision Air headquarter located at Mirambo Street, Diamond Plaza Building, 1st floor, whereby the two parties signed a partnership agreement. Addressing the media during the conference, Precision Air’s group MD and CEO Ms. Sauda Rajab said that, the partnership between Precision Air and Tumaini La Maisha will be in the form of sponsorship whereby Precision Air will be an official carrier for Tumaini La Maisha. Announcing the sponsorship, Ms.Sauda said Precision Air will offer Tumaini La Maisha 96 one way tickets to be used by children who are attending cancer clinic in Dar es Salaam. “Health, Education and Environment are the focal point of our CSR policy here at Precision Air. We believe these are the most crucial aspects of our society’s wellbeing, and due to our successful partnership with Tumaini la Maisha in 2012/2013 we are happy to announce yet another year of partnership.” Sauda stressed. “With our wide network across Tanzania we believe this sponsorship will be of great relief to our children and will alleviate their suffering through the use of other forms of transport ending their long journeys.” She added On the other hand Tumaini la Maisha’s Managing Director Ms. Deirdre O'Mahony said Tumaini la Maisha deals with 400 children yearly and transporting them from their homes to the clinic has always been a challenge. “We want to express gratitude to our partner Precision Air for their continued support. The tickets they have offered are not for Tumaini La Maisha but they contribute to the crucial role of fighting cancer in our society.” She added In 2012/2013 Precision Air signed similar sponsorship agreement with Tumaini La Maisha and offered tickets which were used by children suffering from cancer and their custodians to attend clinics in Dar es Salaam.
