Yearbook Overview Deusto: A university embracing ongoing transformation

Founded in 1886 by the , the University of Deusto covers six main fields of study: Business, Law, Psychology and Education, Theology, Social and Human Sciences and Engineering. It aims to train leaders who can combine a professional, humanist and ethical perspective through a full range of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education programmes.

This university is ranked among ’s leading universities for its world-class teaching and top-level performance. The hallmarks of this University, located in the centre of two cities, and San Sebastian, and also based in , are student education in competences and values, thanks to its own socially recognised teaching model. Furthermore, tutors play a key role and each student is assigned one to provide them with guidance and advice.

Campus of International Excellence The Aristos Campus Mundus project, promoted by the University of Deusto, Ramon Llull University and the of Comillas. This strategic aggregation formed with the American universities of Georgetown, Fordham and Boston College, has been awarded the highest score —A— in the final evaluation of Campus of International Excellence projects. Research Ethics Committee

The Research Ethics Committee (REC) is an independent, unbiased and interdisciplinary body reporting to the Vice-Rector’s Office for Research. Its main functions include: evaluate research ethics; issue the ethical suitability reports requested by institutions and researchers; and ensure compliance with good practices in terms of research integrity and ethics. * More than 60% of the projects submitted to the most important Spanish Competitive Call of the year (R&D&i State Programme focused on Social Challenges) were approved for the University of Deusto and Deusto Foundation. Research internationalisation strategy
