Obituary Anker Sorensen August 12th 1919—March 8th 2019

Longtime member of Northwest Danish Association, Anker Sorensen, passed away at home on March 8th 2019. He passed just six months be- fore what would have been his 100th birthday.

Anker was born in Østbirk, Vejle in Denmark on August 12th 1919. He had one brother and two sisters.

From 1946-1947 Anker served in the Danish army, where he was trained by the Scottish regiment of the British army. He was sent to Karachi, India for the partition of India and Pakistan.
