MBTA Student Pass Program 2019-2020 Academic Year

Boston University Academy students are able to ride the T for a discounted rate either by using a Student Stored Value CharlieCard or by purchasing a Student CharlieCard Pass.

Stored Value CharlieCard FREE; enables a student to travel on the , Subway, and Express Bus at [S-Card] a “Pay As You Go” half- rate

CharlieCard Pass $30 per month and automatically reloaded every month; [M7 Pass] enables a student unlimited travel 7 days a week on the Bus, Subway, Express Bus, and Zones 1A, 1, and 2

CharlieCard monthly passes may be purchased upfront for the entire school year (September-June) or on a month-to-month basis. BUA will charge your family’s Smart Tuition account accordingly. Please be aware that MBTA passes are free of charge for all City of residents as well as for those families who receive financial aid.

Students are assigned one card for the year so it is imperative that it is not lost or misplaced. All M7 Pass and S-Card holders have the option to reload a monthly pass or funds to be used for “pay as you go” to their Student CharlieCard at any of the MBTA Fare Vending Machines for the months of July and August.

All orders must be received by August 15 in order to be ready for pick up on August 31. Orders submitted after this deadline may not be available until after the first day of school. Please call 617-353-9000 or email [email protected] if you have any questions.
