The Start of Recurrent Ground Courses new facility, where approximately 12,000 students December 2019 annually complete their training, is located a 5-minute Opening Event tram ride from Zurich Airport and replaces the previous July 4–5, 2020 location at Balsberg. The building is set on 160 foundation pillars, which were drilled into the underlying rock at a depth of 30 meters. Seven state-of-the-art flight simulators with technical rooms and flexible work stations offer everything that meets today‘s requirements for leading-edge airline trai- ning. In another hall there are five fully equipped cabin trainers for cabin crew training. In addition, there are work- shop rooms, focus, training and briefing rooms as well as a 24/7 cafeteria and catering area, which can be used for mobile work.
