#2: Outside Berlin Hotel, Wannsee House, Town Guide, Into next tape (4 discs) -“Walking Tour” guide- Siemens factory, heaquarters’ ruins, spot above Hitler’s bunker (interpreted by John mark Ennis and Dr. Susan Burch) #3: , Deaf/Blind House (4 discs) -Wannsee House, historical tour inside, guided by the Wannsee House director, narrating the background and event s of the Wannsee Conference (1/20/1942) Followed by Q&A by student including myself. -Deaf-Blind House (shelter) on Nosenthalstrasse (formally East Berlin,) guided tour by the house guide narrating blind and deaf/blind Jewish refugees hiding from Nazis) Ennis interpreting Gudrun (German Sign language interpreter) who translated the guide’s spoken German into spoken English. Jochen Muhs added info on Deaf-Blind Germans. Followed by Q&A’s including myself- I asked her if she met any Deaf People in Terezin #10: Prague- Assassin- Heydrich, Prague- lunch (4 discs) -Tour of Udice, a Prague suburb, where Nazis exterminated male residents and abducted female and child residents for Czech resistance’s assassination of Reinfard Heydrich, then Governor of Czechslovakia. Guided by Elisabeth, hearing Czech survivor, interpreted by John Mark Ennis. Documentary of Udice, spoken in English with Ennis ASL interpreting. -Site of Heydrich’s assassination recollected by Elisabeth followed by the hospital site where Heydrich died. -Lunch break in native Czech restaurant recommended by Elisabeth – Czech cuisine -Site of church where the Czech assassin’s holed up and cornered by Nazis. Elisabeth narrated the events leading to the Czech’s suicide (rather than Nazi arrest) -Tour of Barandov Studios, Prague- the leading Czech studio.
