DEKANEY HIGH SCHOOL 2018 Contract

Please read all of the information before signing this contract.

• Dekaney High School Senior Prom will be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott on Saturday May 19, 2018 8:00-11:30 PM. • All students must bring a picture form of ID with them the evening of prom (this includes dates that do not attend Dekaney High School). Faculty and Administration will be checking all picture IDs against the names given when prom tickets were purchased. If the ID does not match the name given at the time of ticket purchase, you will not be allowed to enter prom. No exceptions! • Students must notify senior sponsors of a change in dates name no later than Friday May 11, 2018. This procedure is in place to help ensure your safety. • Spring Independent School District policies regarding the use of drugs and alcohol are in effect at . Specifically, District policy prohibits the use of alcoholic beverages, controlled dangerous substances, or certain other non-controlled intoxicants as defined by law during any school sponsored activity whether held on or off school property. Additionally, a student may not attend any school or school sponsored activity after having used or consumed any of the aforementioned substances. Violation of these policies will result in a student’s removal from prom. • Students who smell of any drug will not be able to enter into any prom activities. • Policies regarding smoking will be the same as for any other school function; there will be NO SMOKING anywhere on The Woodlands Waterway Marriott grounds during the prom by anyone involved with the prom. • No book bags or large over-sized purses will be allowed at the prom. Small purses are acceptable. There will be a security check of everyone entering the dance!!!! • Behavior: The Spring Independent School District’s Student Code of Conduct will be in effect at all times. Students who choose to bring an outside guest are responsible for registering the guest when tickets are purchased. No one under the age of 15 and over the age of 20 will be allowed as a guest. Host students who bring guests are responsible to properly inform and clarify the rules and regulations as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct regardless of their age or student status. • Boy’s Formal : Formal prom attire may be classified as a tuxedo or dress , including a tie, , a shirt or priest-collar shirt, which may include a vest or cummerbund. Shirts must be worn at all times! Dress shoes must be worn while in any public building. White Tennis shoes are acceptable. No jeans allowed! • Girl’s Formal Dress: Traditionally, formal and may be strapless or may feature spaghetti straps. Bare or open backs are acceptable. However, bare stomachs or bare midriffs are not permitted. Garments that are extremely tight or extremely low-cut are unacceptable. • Music and Dancing: Girl’s dresses should not be raised above the knees. Chairs are not allowed on the dance floor. All students must wear shoes throughout the event. Students and guests who refuse to comply with request by chaperones to refrain from this type of dancing will be asked to leave the Prom. • Anyone who leaves will not be allowed to re-enter. This includes the use of escalators and elevators. • Once tickets have been purchased, NO REFUNDS will be given.

• DHS administration is the first and final word on prom approval, entrance, and participation.

*If your date is an underclassman or a student from another campus, you must have him/her fill out the guest contract form. The Prom Contract and Guest forms are due to Mrs. Taylor’s 1300 COMMUNITY OFFICE by Tuesday May 1, 2018.
