Appropriate prom attire is designed with modesty in mind. Prom is meant to be fun, safe, and enjoyable, and clothing choices should always be made with the formal nature of the occasion in mind. Students and/or guests who fail to comply with this dress code will not be permitted to enter . Boy’s Formal Attire

Boys are expected to be dressed for a formal occasion:

All boys are encouraged to wear a formal jacket, but a button up shirt is required.

No tee shirts or tank tops will be allowed.

Long slacks must be worn.

Dressy jeans may be worn so long as they follow regular school dress code—no holes or ragged hems. Acceptable Boy’s Attire Girls Formal Attire

Formal prom attire for girls may be classified as traditional ladies' or evening . While there are many styles of dresses please remember all dresses must meet the EHHS dress code. Acceptable Attire Unacceptable Attire ➔ Bodices must cover top of the bust line and extend fabric coverage at that level around the torso to the back. ➔ No cutouts revealing midriff or other part of the body below the bust line. Abdomens and midriffs will not be exposed. This includes both front and side. With arms down at your side, if flesh touches flesh, the dress is inappropriate. ➔ 2-piece dresses: top MUST overlap with skirt waistband and no abdomen is exposed when arms are raised. ➔ Dress backs may not be cut below the natural waist. ➔ Dress hems and skirt slits may be at or below the fingertip when arms are fully extended down the side. Sheer fabric may not be used to cover a hemline that is too short. ➔ Undergarments should not be visible. See-through apparel is not permitted. ➔ Alterations to meet dress code must be of a permanent nature—no safety pins. Sheer or flesh-colored fabric may not be used as an alteration to cover an area that should not be exposed.
