Prom Dress Code ▪ All dresses worn to the dance must be photographed, while being worn and submitted via email to [email protected] – [email protected] – [email protected] -- [email protected] ▪ Dresses may be strapless (if they fit properly) or include spaghetti straps. ▪ Dresses may be backless, if they are not cut below the naval. ▪ Midriffs will not be exposed. This includes both front and side. ▪ Two-piece dresses must have solid fabric (not mesh) added to cover midriff. ▪ Dresses may not have a slit that exceeds mid-thigh. This is fingertip length. This also includes short dresses. ▪ The top of the dress bodice must be above the bust line. ▪ Undergarments should not be visible. See-through apparel is not permitted. ▪ Garments that are tight or low-cut are also unacceptable. ▪ Fabric inserts must be sewn, not pinned, on the dress if without the inserts the dress does not meet dress code. ▪ Cover-ups are permitted to cover a dress that does not meet expectations, if they are worn the entire night. ▪ Pictures taken at the dance must meet dress code. You may not alter a dress to take a picture. Gentlemen, you are expected to wear formal attire. Formal prom attire may be classified as a tuxedo or dress suit, including a tie or bow tie, a dress shirt, which may include a vest or cummerbund. Shirts are always to be worn. If you are bringing a date from another school, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to have your date follow LCA approval procedures, guest approval form must be submitted with the email. Prom is a formal and special night for LCA students. We hope to maintain the integrity and formality of this night by implementing this simple dress code; as such any students not appropriately dressed will be turned away at the door. There are hundreds of beautiful, tasteful, and appropriate dresses available for prom. If you have questions concerning your dress, it is your responsibility to seek prior approval from administration.
