2011 Meli Dry (, Chile)

Celebrated winemaker Adriana Cerda uses dry-farming techniques to craft this incredibly aromatic and expressive Riesling from 60-year-old vines in the Maule Valley. Mineral, peach, and floral overtones combine with firm acidity, honey, and citrus flavors in this delicious wine, along with green apple and honeydew melon. Pair it with chicken curry or a spinach salad.

2010 Calcu Reserva (Colchagua Valley, Chile)

The Calcu Cabernet Franc is grown in an ideal, cool location and shows great ripeness, elegance, and extraordinary complexity. Inky black color, spicy red fruits, coffee, and touches of dark chocolate lead to a deep wine with firm tannins and a long finish. Coffee, raspberry, blackberry, and cocoa powder. Pair it with slow-cooked pork ribs or porcini mushrooms.

2010 Meli Carignane (Maule Valley, Chile)

The lesser-known Carignane is planted extensively in southern France. Although it does not usually take a leading role in New World wines, there is real star power in Meli's dry-farmed Carignane-. Ripe cherry, floral notes, and dark fruit. Pair it with Spanish tapas or roasted vegetables.

2009 William Cole Columbine Special Reserve Cabernet Sauv (Colchagua Valley, Chile)

William Cole's Columbine Special Reserve is a Cabernet of balance, finesse, and ageability. This single- bottling shows dill weed, blackberry, and coffee aromas. In the glass, it's full-bodied with big, bold black cherry fruit and outstanding length. Pair it with Southern-style barbecue, dark chocolate, or Manchego cheese.

2009 Viña Maquis Carménère (Colchagua Valley, Chile)

The Carménère grape was born in France but embraced almost exclusively by Chile. This winery's unique location, where Andean alluvial soils meet the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean, has proven to be an ideal place for the grape to call home. Laurel, spicy clove, rosemary, and currant. Pair it with herb-crusted chicken or pungent cheeses.

2011 Estampa Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (Colchagua Valley, Chile)

Bright and intense in color, this Cabernet Sauvignon has big red fruit flavors like plums and strawberries on the nose, with round tannins and a hint of toast on the finish. Ratings Calcu: The second label of Viña Maquis, the Calcu are located in the Colchagua Valley, a premier winegrowing region in Chile.

Viña Maquis: The original winery was built in 1927 by owner and engineer, Ignacio Hurtado, when he was just 23 years old.

William Cole: Built in 1999, the winery is a mix of architecture reminiscent of old Chilean missions and Southwestern American Indians.
