ROBSON STREET [9AM-10:30AM]

ROBSON STREET Robson Street reminds me a lot of Third Street Promenade in LA. There’s a great selection of shops and restaurants, and you’re bound to find something you like. I came here for breakfast/brunch and ended up at Cafe Crepe. Their crepes are delicious and they have a great menu with savory AND sweet crepes. I highly recommend checking it out! Stores usually don’t open until 10am, so I used this short trip in the morning to scout out stores that I wanted to visit later on in the day when I had more free time. ORPHEUM THEATRE TOUR [11AM-12:30PM]

884 GRANVILLE STREET, VANCOUVER [CHECK THE SCHEDULE BEFORE GOING]

The walk from Robson street to the Orpheum Theatre is only around 10-15 minutes, so not bad at all! I’m not sure if they offer this tour year round, but they had it on Saturdays in the summer when I went. The tour costs $10 per person and they only take cash, so keep that in mind. When I went, the tour group was very small (4 people total) and I had a wonderful experience! The guides were super friendly and very knowledgeable. We even got to go on the stage! The theatre itself is massive, and looking out at all the seats while I was on that stage was pretty mind boggling, haha. They took us to the lighting room and the backstage area as well so we could see what goes on behind the scenes during the shows that perform there. It was very cool, and I highly recommend visiting if you get the chance!

LUNCH: MIKU RESTAURANT [1PM-2PM]

200 GRANVILLE STREET, SUITE 70, 11:30AM-10PM

So the only reason that lunch on this particular day is scheduled so late is because of the Orpheum Theatre Tour, which only takes place at a set time. This restaurant gets pretty crowded, so I recommend booking a reservation online 1-2 days before. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is amazing. The sushi here is very unique. I wouldn’t necessarily call this place authentic, but the modern twist that they put into the food is what makes this place great. Get the Miku Zen if you want a variety! It comes with the chef’s selections that include not just sushi, but several other small dishes as well. Yes it’s pricey (around $30 per person), but I think it’s completely worth it.

VANCOUVER AQUARIUM [2PM-4PM]

845 AVISON WAY, 9:30AM-6PM (DOORS CLOSE AT 5:45PM] I loved this aquarium! It had been a while since I had last been to an aquarium, and this place did not disappoint! You’ll see a lot more than just fish here. They have penguins, reptiles, birds, jellyfish, and so much more! The jellyfish were probably my favorite, actually. I spend a good 15 min (at least) staring at them. They’re so beautiful and mesmerizing! I think you could definitely spend more than 2 hours here if you took your time, but I think 2 hours is the minimum amount of time you’ll need to get through the whole aquarium. Don’t forget that they have an outdoor exhibit (with the penguins)! They do offer student pricing, and I recommend buying your tickets online to avoid the line. The lines get REALLY long.

SEAWALL/STANLEY PARK [4PM-6PM]

7 MIN. WALK FROM THE AQUARIUM The Seawall is like a 7 min. walk from the aquarium. There are several bike rental shops near there, and it takes around 45 min. to bike Seawall. Bayshore Bike Rentals (745 Denman Street) offers bikes at $6 per hour or $16.80 for 4 hours. Stanley Park is around the Seawall so you can

3 continue on into the park afterwards. The park is huge, so make sure you don’t get lost! If timing/weather permits, Third Beach (on the west end) is a great place to see the sunset! Unfortunately, when I went during the summer, the sun wasn’t setting until like 9pm so I didn’t get to see it

DINNER: L’ABATTOIR [6:30PM-8PM]

217 CARRALL ST, VANCOUVER This place is pretty pricey, and I can’t say much about it because I didn’t actually get to go (something came up and the rest of my plans after Stanley Park got messed up lol). But this restaurant was at the top of my list of places to try while I was here, so if any of you go, I’d love to hear about what you got and how you thought the food was! The cuisine is French, and their dishes just look so unique! I’ve heard that their steak, duck, and lamb are all very good! Everything is beautifully presented as well. DESSERT: KOBINIYA JAPAN CENTRE

1238 ROBSON STREET, 11AM-1AM And we end up back at Robson Street! Totally coincidence, though, I swear, since by this time most of the stores are closed anyway haha. Get the green tea parfait here! It looks amazing, doesn’t taste AS amazing, but it’s still good! The green tea soft serve is delicious, and it comes with very unique toppings (boba, cereal, etc.). One of the most unique desserts I’ve ever tried, and who knows, you might decide to come back everyday while you’re in Vancouver. It is kind of pricey though (for ice cream), so maybe not. But try it at least once!
