SAMPLE ITINERARY: Italy Food & Wine Tour 8 Days / 7 Nights – Venice to Florence (with optional post tour to Tuscany)
This is a copy of a small group tour that Anywhere But Here Travel, Inc. has put together in the past. We will put together a similar tour once we can travel to Italy again. Optional Tuscany Post Tour
Departure Day – Oct 10th – USA Depart from Seattle, WA (or other US Destination). Flight must be booked separately and is not included in our pricing below.
Day 1 – Oct 11th – Venice, Italy (D) Upon arrival at Venice airport, meet your local assistant and transfer to your hotel in Venice. Enjoy a 2-hour guided walking tour of Venice to include Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica. Welcome dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Venice. (Hotel Saturnia or similar)
Day 2 – Oct 12th – Venice, Italy (B, D) After breakfast at your hotel, board your private taxi boat and transfer to Tronchetto. Tronchetto is an artificial island set up to assist in transporting people from the island to mainland. Board your private coach and transfer to the “Prosecco region” to enjoy a prosecco wine tour. In the afternoon, we will prepare a 3-course meal and enjoy our creation for dinner. Overnight in Venice. (Hotel Saturnia or similar)
Day 3 – Oct 13th – San Gimignano, Italy (B, D) After breakfast at your hotel, board your private taxi boat and transfer to Tronchetto. Board your private coach and transfer to San Gimignano. Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and overnight in San Gimignano. (Hotel Villa San Paolo or similar)

Day 4 – Oct 14th – San Gimignano, Italy (B) Breakfast at your hotel and then depart for a chocolate making class. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner on your own and overnight in San Gimignano. (Hotel Villa San Paolo or similar)
Day 5 – Oct 15th – San Gimignano, Italy (B, L) Breakfast at your hotel. Afterward, we will begin our typical Tuscan cooking class, followed by lunch created by us! Free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in San Gimignano. (Hotel Villa San Paolo or similar)
Day 6 – Oct 16th – Florence, Italy (B) After breakfast and checking out of your hotel, board your private coach and transfer to Florence. Enjoy a 3-hour guided walking tour of Florence, including the Accademia where The Statue of David is housed. Overnight in Florence. (Hotel Adler Cavalieri or similar)
Day 7 – Oct 17th – Florence, Italy (B, D) Breakfast in your hotel. Enjoy the morning at your leisure. In the afternoon, enjoy a mini-cooking lesson followed by a farewell dinner. Overnight in Florence. (Hotel Adler Cavalieri or similar)
Day 8 – Oct 18th – Depart to USA or Continue with Post Tour (B) Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. End of services.

Although the tour will be a guaranteed departure once 6 people reserve the tour and place their deposit, the price will increase to as much as $3,740 USD per person if fewer than 9 people join the tour, and $3,190 USD if fewer than 13 people join the tour. Day 1 – Oct 18th – Tuscany, Italy (D) After breakfast (included in the main tour), transfer to rental car facility and obtain rental car (cost is separate from tour). Drive to Perugia area to meet your hosts for the next 3 days, Milena and Klaas. Upon arrival, you will check-in to your room and settle in before joining your hosts for a typical Italian dinner. Overnight in Tuscany. (Pietrafitta - Vacanza Casa - Agriturismo/Vacation House)
Day 2 – Oct 19th – Tuscany, Italy (B, L) After breakfast, you will begin your drive and tour of the surrounding area with your host. You will visit the following areas: • Visit to Mugnano (small village with the affrescos) • Visit to the Natural park of San Savino “Oasi La Valle” • Visit to the Fish Museum in San Feliciano • Lunch at the restaurant “da Settimio” (specialties fish of the lake) • In the afternoon visit to Monte del Lago to a unique olive oil mill with olive oil tasting After this full day of touring, you will return to your accommodation for a little rest and then you may choose to make your own meal or enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants nearby. Day 3 – Oct 20th – Tuscany, Italy (B, L, D) You have another big day ahead of you filled with history, culture fun and food! Day 4 – Oct 21st – Depart for USA After breakfast, end of services.
