Before you start, make sure:

(a) You are connected to the Internet (b) You have the username and password we sent you when you subscribed ready

REMEMBER: your password is CASE SENSITIVE - type exactly what you see in the welcome mail

The following instructions are for PPTP. If you wish to use L2TP, the Pre-Shared Key (PSK) is UKTV.

Windows XP

1. Click on START and open the CONTROL PANEL 2. Select NETWORK AND INTERNET CONNECTIONS 3. Select CREATE A NEW CONNECTION TO THE NETWORK AT YOUR WORKPLACE and the new Connection Wizard will open 4. Select VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORK CONNECTION and click NEXT 5. Type 'uktvaccess ' as the company name and click NEXT 6. Click on DO NOT DIAL THE INITIAL CONNECTION and click NEXT 7. Enter the IP address from the welcome mail in the host name or IP address box and click NEXT 8. Tick the ADD A SHORTCUT TO THIS CONNECTION TO MY DESKTOP box and click FINISH 9. Open the shortcut on your desktop 10. Type in the username and password you received from us when you subscribed

You will now be connected to our server and can freely access free content from the major UK TV web sites

Windows Vista

1. Click on START and select NETWORK 2. Click on the NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER 3. Click on SET UP A CONNECTION OR NETWORK 4. Select CONNECT TO A WORKPLACE and click NEXT 5. Click on USE MY INTERNET CONNECTION (VPN) 6. Type the IP address from your welcome mail in the INTERNET ADDRESS box and 'uktvaccess' as the DESTINATION NAME and click NEXT 7. Type in the username and password you received from us when you subscribed and click CREATE 8. Your connection is ready to use. Please note that you must be connected to the Internet with your regular connection before connecting to our server. 9. Double-click on the uktvaccess icon in NETWORK AND INTERNET CONNECTIONS when you want to connect to the US server 10. If asked, enter the username and password you received from us when you subscribed and click CONNECT

Double-click on the 'uktvaccess' icon in NETWORK CONNECTIONS whenever you want to connect to the US server

Windows 8

1. First, Open Network and Sharing Center from Control Panel. 2. Then choose Set up a new connection or network. 3. In the next window, choose: Connect to a workplace and click Next. 4. In the next window, choose Use my Internet Connection (VPN). 5. Under Internet address type the IP address we sent you. Put UK TV ACCESS (or anything you want) as the Destination Name. Then click Create. 6. Click on the monitor icon on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. 7. Right–click on the UK TV PPTP connection, and choose Properties from the menu. 8. Under Security Tab for Type of VPN select “Point to Point Tunnelling Protocol (PPTP)” and click OK. 9. IMPORTANT: Under Authentication, click on ‘allow these protocols’ and tick the MS- CHAP v2 box. 10. Almost done - Click again on the monitor icon on the bottom right-hand corner, find PIA PPTP connection and click connect. Type your VPN username and password and click OK.

Done, your Windows 8 now should be connected to the VPN server via PPTP protocol.

Windows 8.1

1. On Windows 8.1 move the cursor to the top or bottom right corner of the screen and click on "Search". 2. Search for "Internet options". 3. In tab "Connections" choose "add VPN". 4. Enter your IP address as the Internet address and enter a Destination name (e.g.UK TV). Then click "Create". 5. Now choose "UK TV" from the connections and click on "Settings" and on the next window on "Properties". 6. In tab "Security" select VPN-type PPTP 7. IMPORTANT: Under Authentication, click on ‘allow these protocols’ and tick the MS- CHAP v2 box. 8. To connect move the cursor to the top or bottom right corner of the screen and click on "Settings".

1. Go to the ‘Settings >> General >> Network >> VPN’. 2. Click ‘Add VPN Configuration’. 3. Select ‘PPTP’ 4. Check the following settings: o Description: UKTV Access o Server: enter the IP address from received email o Account: enter VPN username o RSA SecurID: OFF o Password: enter VPN password o Encryption level: Auto o Send All traffic: ON 5. Click ‘save’ iPod and iPhone

1. Open the SETTINGS on your iPhone or iPOD 2. Select GENERAL 3. Select NETWORK 4. Select VPN 5. Select ADD VPN CONFIGURATION 6. Enter 'uktvaccess' in the DESCRIPTION 7. Enter the IP address we sent you in your welcome mail in SERVER 8. Enter the username we sent you when you subscribed in ACCOUNT 9. Enter the password we sent you when you subscribed in PASSWORD 10. ENCRYPTION LEVEL should be set to AUTO 11. SEND ALL TRAFFIC should be set to ON 12. Press SAVE 13. Change VPN status to ON

Android Tablet Set Up

1. Start from the home screen 2. Press the Settings icon, then open the PPTP configuration page as follows: - Choose 'Wireless & Networks' - Choose 'VPN settings' - Choose 'Add VPN' - Choose 'Add PPTP VPN' 3. Fill the fields as below: - VPN name: uktvaccess - Set VPN server: Enter IP Address from your welcome mail - Enable encryption: selected 4. Press the 'Menu' button to save 5. Click on 'uktvaccess' to connect and, in the next pop up window, enter your username and password and then click 'Connect'

1. Open the SYSTEM PREFERENCES window 2. Click on the NETWORK icon 3. Unlock the NETWORK CONFIGURATION with your admin username and password 4. Click the ADD (+) button in the bottom left-hand corner 5. In INTERFACE select 'VPN', select the VPN TYPE as 'PPTP', enter 'uktvaccess' in the SERVICE NAME box and click CREATE 6. Enter the IP address you received in your welcome mail in the SERVER ADDRESS box, enter the username we sent you when you subscribed in the ACCOUNT NAME box and click AUTHENTICATION SETTINGS 7. Enter the password we sent you when you subscribed and click OK 8. Click on the ADVANCED button, check the three boxes under 'Session Options' and click OK 9. Close NETWORK CONFIGURATION 10. When you want to connect to the US server, right click on the VPN icon in the top system tray and choose CONNECT VPN (PPTP).

Mac 10.4

1. Go to the APPLICATIONS folder and double click on the INTERNET CONNECT icon the icon. 2. Go to FILE and select NEW VPN CONNECTION 3. Select 'PPPT' and click CONTINUE 4. Click 'OTHER' and select 'EDIT CONFIGURATIONS' 5. Enter 'uktvaccess' in the DESCRIPTION box 6. Type the IP address we sent you in your welcome mail as the server address 7. Enter the username we gave you when you subscribed in the ACCOUNT NAME box 8. In USER AUTHENTICATION, check 'password' and enter the password we gave you when you subscribed 9. Set ENCRYPTION to 'AUTOMATIC' 10. Leave ENABLE VPN ON DEMAND blank 11. Click OK 12. Click CONNECT

MAC 10.5

1. Install the PPTP plug-in for CONNECTION MANAGER by clicking on APPLICATION and selecting ADD/REMOVE 2. Enter 'PPTP' in the SEARCH box and the tick the 'PPTP VPN CONNECTION MANAGER' and click on APPLY CHANGES 3. Click on the APPLY button 4. When you see the window below, click CLOSE 5. Click on SYSTEM on the top menu 6. Click on PREFERENCES 7. Choose NETWORK CONFIGURATION 8. Choose VPN and press the ADD (+) button. 9. Select POINT-TO-POINT TUNNELING PROTOCOL (PPTP) and click on CREATE. 10. Enter 'uktvaccess' as the CONNECTION NAME 11. In GATEWAY, enter the IP address we sent in your welcome mail 12. Enter the username and password we sent you when you subscribed in the next two boxes 13. Click on ADVANCED 14. Make sure you tick the boxes in the picture below before clicking OK 15. Save the connection by clicking OK 16. Click CLOSE to close the NETWORK CONNECTIONS window 17. Left-click on the NETWORK MANAGER icon, choose VPN CONNECTIONS and click on 'uktvaccess' 18. You will see a small padlock when you are connected to the US server
