JEANRICHARD SETS THE PACE FOR THE BIGGEST US TRACK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP

JEANRICHARD has invested itself repeatedly over the last few years in a range of different associa- tions with the world of sport and these efforts have always met with success. This achievement is an outcome of the passion which inspires the company in its daily watchmaking activities, and of its wish to offer its timekeepers to authentic personalities who are themselves passionate about their sport and about life in general.

JEANRICHARD started out as the privileged partner of the young Italian rallying team “R&D Motorsport” at the World Rally Championships over the last few years.

This young team emerged as a result of both technological and sporting inspiration. It just so happens that Luigi Macaluso, President of the Sowind Group which includes the brands of Girard-Perregaux and JEANRICHARD, was himself a fervent and impassioned member of the motor racing fraternity, having been one of the finest Italian co-drivers in the Seventies and a mem- ber of the official FIAT team.

In 2004, the Brand decided to commit itself again with the world of car racing. JEANRICHARD signed a three-year timekeeping and sponsoring contract with the organisers of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS).

Scott Duncan (ALMS), and John O'Connell, (GTS Winners of the race), Ron Jackson (JEANRICHARD USA) Drawing its inspiration from the celebrated Le Mans 24 hour race, the ALMS brings together four categories of Grand Tourism cars and prototypes. The Championship comprises nine races sche- duled between March and October, and is covered by the principal media throughout US territory. JEANRICHARD, the official sponsor, will be present at each competition. As the official timekeeper, the Brand will be showing its Collection in a reception area open to the public.

The Brand will also be presenting a numbered and personalized watch to the three first drivers in each category, winners of the Championship, and to the winners of the two main endurance races the “ at ” and the “Sebring International Raceway.”The latter is the oldest motor race of all in the : this year it will be celebrating its 53rd anniversary and will attract the most prestigious brands of automobiles.

The JEANRICHARD – ALMS partnership will give rise to an exclusive line of watches produced in a limited and numbered series, specially dedicated to and inspired by this partnership.

JEANRICHARD, as a Swiss watchmaking company is proud to associate the Swiss Made technology and rigour of its watches with a prestigious motor racing competition which unites the finest skills and technical prowess. Devotees of motor sport will discover many common denominators to this union, such as the sporty and streamlined design, sophisticated mechanisms and the constant quest for quality.

JEANRICHARD, which traces the origins of its expertise back to a locality with a rich and centuries- old watchmaking tradition, is honored to represent top quality Swiss watchmaking for an American and international clientele. JEANRICHARD pays homage to the prestigious Sebring 12 hours, the “classic” endurance race for prototype race cars and gran turismo vehicles. The legacy of the Brand, which is based in La Chaux-de-Fonds in the Swiss Jura mountains, can be traced back to the work of master watchmaker Daniel JeanRichard. Daniel JeanRichard was one of the founding fathers of the Swiss industry. He set up his workshop in the region of Neuchâtel in 1685 and managed it with great foresight. Continuing its founder’s philosophy, the modern JEANRICHARD collections combine the highest mechanical quality with a sporty style, highly customized yet classic at the same time. The balance between refined mechanical technology and the search for extreme performance is a bond linking the history of JEANRICHARD and the great sporting tradition of the 12 Hours of Sebring.

The race track of Sebring, in the State of Florida, has hosted the famous 12 Hours since 1952. This endurance race has been the backdrop for great challenges between the most prestigious car manufacturers and the best drivers of all time. The American automobile giants and the famed European race car manufacturers have come face to face on this race track, joined by Japanese challengers since the 90’s. Epic battles have taken place on this track between , Ford, , Chaparral, Jaguar, , , and all the other stars from the world of motor racing. The winners include legendary drivers such as , , Phill Hill, , , and . The pull of the American races, the exciting vehicles of the Italian, German and English teams, the splendid lifestyle of the pilots and the Florida sunshine have all contributed to the legend of the 12 Hours of Sebring, over its 50 years of history.

After the powerful 6, 8 and 12 cylinder engines, here is another opportunity for European mecha- nical mastery to celebrate the famous American 12 Hours with a sophisticated timepiece: the brand from La Chaux-de-Fonds is proud to present the automatic chronograph JEANRICHARD for 12 Hours of Sebring, in a numbered and limited edition. JEANRICHARD FOR 12 HOURS OF SEBRING 1/1

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

The new JEANRICHARD for 12 Hours of Sebring is an automatically wound chronograph, part of the JEANRICHARD TV Screen Chronoscope collection. The movement has a power reserve of up to 40 hours and an operating frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour.

The watch dial has three counters: the seconds are shown at 3 o’clock, the chronographic function at 6 o’clock and the chronograph minutes counter is located at 9 o’clock. The chronograph seconds are shown by the big central hand which has a red triangular arrow at the end. The most important counter is the one located at 6 o’clock, which displays the countdown of the 12 hours of the race. The hours counter is larger than the other two and the hand and indexes are luminous to ensure good visibility even in the dark. The semicircles around the counter are in contrasting colours so that day-time hours can be distinguished from night-time during the race.

A further function of the watch is an internal rotating disc, adjusted by means of a crown located at 9 o’clock. If the internal disc is turned until the arrow corresponds to the minutes hand, a time difference of less than the hour can be calculated.

The JEANRICHARD for Sebring is available in two versions: one has a silver coloured dial, with blue counters and hands, and the other has a black dial with white indexes and hands. The watch has a customized case etched with the layout of the Sebring track, as well as the pro- gressive limited edition number.

The case is crafted in steel and the bottom is secured with 4 screws guaranteeing water-resistance down to 50 metres. Production will be limited to 100 watches in the version with the light coloured dial and 100 wat- ches with the black dial. The packaging will also be customized with a special metal plaque that bears testimony to the asso- ciation between JeanRichard and the 12 Hours of Sebring. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
