Following two years of very impressive growth for Kart4Kids, I can only be thankful to our amazing group of volunteers and sponsors. Once again, the response from the community allows us to showcase some awesome racing with some of the biggest names from the IndyCar, Prototype and GT series, all to help the kids at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. A massive thank you to everyone at Andersen Racepark and Green Savoree Racing Promotions, without their support, none of this would be possible! Now, enough words. Let’s have some fun and raise some money. Thank You, Patrick Long

I first met Patrick at our 48 Hours event in Sebring. He was a red headed young kid that everyone said to watch as he was destined to be a great driver. He soon became the only American Porsche Works driver ever. As time went on he and I ran into each other at Daytona, 48 Hours and Sebring and got to know each other. When the idea was hatched for Kart 4 Kids, I called him and asked for his help. The event was to be in the memory of and Patrick’s reply was an immediate yes, he explained that the last time he raced against Dan was in karts. He didn’t say who won that race but I think I know, as Patrick does not brag This event only exists because of Patrick Long’s involvement and we thank him for eight years of leadership of our event. Since the first year of Kart 4 Kids, Patrick has moved to California, married and has two cute little ones. He started an air cooled car show LUFTGEKUHIT, with that, family and a full racing schedule leaves him little time for other events, thus Sebastien has stepped up and shared the leadership. Patrick says he is not finished with Kart 4 Kids but is stepping back a bit to devote time to his other event. Dave, I, and our entire committee gives a big thank you to Patrick, it has been an extreme pleasure working with a true professional.
