PADSTOW & THE CAMEL ESTUARY The Yacht House is set above the iconic harbourside town and working fishing port of Padstow, on the western side of the Camel Estuary in . Padstow is famous as a foodies destination and is home to celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. The town has numerous excellent eateries and is often regarded as one of Cornwall’s best gastronomic destinations, with fabulous fresh seafood landed daily. The Camel Estuary, sheltered from the Atlantic Ocean by and to the west and Pentire Point to the east, offers numerous sandy beaches and a large area of calm water, with superb bathing, sailing and water skiing. Padstow has a tidal marina and there are deep water and tidal moorings in the Estuary, making it the North Coast’s premier destination for watersports enthusiasts. There are two first rate golf courses in the area including Trevose Golf Club, overlooking , to the west and St. Enodoc Golf Club to the east in the ever popular waterside resort of Rock, which is accessible by road via Wadebridge, or passenger ferry between Padstow and Rock. Padstow provides an extensive range of boutique shops and galleries, as well as a supermarket, which cater for all day to day needs. The market town of Wadebridge at the top of the Camel Estuary provides a further range of shopping and leisure facilities as well as access to the A39 and Bodmin. The north coast provides some of the most spectacular and rugged coastal scenery in Cornwall where the Atlantic meets high cliffs and beautiful sandy beaches making it a popular destination for walkers and surfers. The South West Coastal footpath provides many miles of spectacular clifftop walks, whilst the Camel Trail, a disused railway line which runs between and Padstow, is popular with both walkers and cyclists. Communication links to the area are excellent, with the A30 at Bodmin providing dual carriageway links to and the network. There is a mainline train station at Bodmin Parkway with regular links to London Paddington, whilst Cornwall Airport at provides several daily flights to London Heathrow, Southend and other UK and International airports. THE YACHT HOUSE The Yacht House dates from the mid 1930’s and has recently been tastefully modernised and extended to create a bright, spacious and adaptable layout, which retains original features including fireplaces and stripped pine floors. The accommodation, which is arranged over two floors, extends to over 1,970 sq ft, with many of the rooms enjoying views to the Camel Estuary. On the ground floor, a spacious reception hall opens to two reception rooms, one of which has a wood burning stove and French doors opening onto a terrace in front of the house. The kitchen, which has been fitted with modern units under marble worktops, leads to a conservatory and dining area which opens onto a terrace and the rear garden. There is a utility room off the kitchen, an en suite bedroom, further bedroom and family bathroom, also on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are two further bedrooms, both of which are en suite, and one which has a balcony offering panoramic Estuary Views. The accommodation has been finished to a high standard throughout with space to comfortably sleep eight guests. Outside, steps from Treverbyn Road lead up to an area of lawn and granite terrace with Estuary views. There is a sheltered garden to the rear, with further terrace, lawns and mature borders. At the top of the rear garden there is private driveway with off-road parking space for up to three cars and a single garage building. This area is accessed via a private lane from Dennis Road.

DIRECTIONS From the A30 at Bodmin, take the A389 to Wadebridge then join the A39 for a short distance, before joining the A389 again to Padstow. On Reaching Padstow, proceed past the Tesco’s supermarket then turn right into School Hill. Follow the road round a sharp right hand bend then turn right into Dennis Road then take the first left onto Treverbyn Road. The Yacht House will be found on the right hand side, on the junction of Treverbyn Road and Egerton Road.
