Maxthon, a global software company that develops state-of-the-art web browsers, today released a new version of its Android browser that, along with industry-leading speed and HTML 5 support, offers its users expanded customization and a better full screen experience.
“This release is a direct response to the wishes of our global community,” said Jeff Chen, CEO of Maxthon. In particular, a spirited debate over which of two versions of full screen we should include. In the end, we chose to give our community both.
When polled, Maxthon users split down the middle preferring one of two versions of full screen. In the first, every pixel of the screen is optimized and used. In the second, full screen plus a small status bar showing battery and signal strength and connection status. Along with enhanced full screen mode, like past releases, this version of Maxthon Mobile for Android also touts faster page load speeds driven by a new, proprietary enhancements of Maxthon's version of Webkit.
Maxthon Mobile version 4.1.2.2000 also includes: The industry’s top Android performance: Maxthon’s optimized core enables faster speed along with the world’s best HTML5 performance and the most comprehensive HTML5 support of any Android browser. Ad Blocker: Easy setup and a mix of global and user-created rules block annoying pop-ups, ads and promotions that get in the way. Optimized one-handed use: Elegant features, such as the added ¡°push away menu,¡± allows users to easily view content and navigate the web seamlessly.
Personal file back up and syncing: Users can push and sync their local files from their Android device to a free, secure account in the Cloud and from there to their other Windows, Mac, iOS devices running the Maxthon Cloud Browser. The free storage is unlimited.
