Global Citizenship Educational Learning Experiences (GCELEs)

Interested in improving the physical infrastructure of a primary school in Kenya? Or maybe designing and establishing a marketplace in Nicaragua to help local entrepreneurs develop their businesses? GCELEs are the perfect mixture of learning, travel, adventure and social reform. These two-week long service-learning-based experiences take place in a range of diverse locations around the world and are fully funded by Centennial.

Faculty-Led International Programs (FLIPs)

Through FLIPs, students from a particular academic program travel abroad for 10 to 14 days with faculty members to gain fi rsthand experience, practical knowledge relevant to their fi eld of study and earn credit for their studies overseas. Recent FLIPs have included Panama, China and Denmark.

Internship Programs

Internships are opportunities to learn by doing, consisting of on-the-job training with an employer and related class studies in college. Internships range from one to two semesters and will prepare you for an exciting future as a skilled professional with Canadian work experience in your fi eld.

International Internship Program

Through Centennial’s International Internship Program, you could be placed in a workplace directly related to your fi eld of study for two to four months. 19 The Centre for Academic English (CAE)

provides free English tutoring and workshops for Centennial students at all campuses. The tutors are professional teachers with certifi cation from TESL Ontario or TESL Canada. Tutoring is free for all full and part-time students.

The Centre for Students with Disabilities (CSD)

is a confi dential service that provides counselling, support, advocacy and accommodations for students with documented disabilities. If you have a documented learning disability, medical or mental health condition, physical, visual, hearing or mobility impairment, we can help.

Career Services and Co-Operative Education

As an international student, you may be stressed or anxious about tests and assignments, being away from home, or adjusting to life here in Canada. Peer Tutoring

allows students experiencing difficulties in specific courses to receive assistance from students who are in high academic standing and have been recommended by their respective departments.

The Counselling Centre

provides free, confidential counselling services to all students. We offer you a safe place to explore your thoughts and feelings through personal counselling, crisis intervention and consultation and referrals.

Centennial International Student Ambassadors (CISA)

The four-acre Centennial Downsview Aerospace Campus Opening serves as the new home of Centennial's Aviation Fall 2018* Maintenance and Aerospace Manufacturing programs. With over 130,000 square feet of instructional space, this $72-million project includes the construction of two aircraft hangars, multiple shop and lab spaces, as well as a host of vibrant student study and work spaces. All of Centennial's ground transportation programs will continue to be offered at the 175,000 square foot Ashtonbee campus, Canada's largest transportation training facility, providing students with more transportation program choices that any other Ontario training facility.
