Hidden Gems Fitness and Health promotion (FPRO), 4 semesters –This program will prepare students for a career in the health and fitness industry. Plumbing Apprenticeship: Plumbers are highly valued tradespeople and are an integral part of any construction and/or maintenance team. Program changes: Starting September 2021, the Trades Techniques programs will require Grade 11 (C) math. (Carpentry & Renovation, Electrical, and Welding Techniques). Trades Technician programs will require Grade 12 (C) math with a minimum final grade of 55 % for admission into Carpentry and Renovation Technician, Electrical Engineering Technician and Welding and Fabrication Technician. Hyundai Canada is making a bold and powerful commitment to Georgian and the Automotive Business School of Canada (ABSC) by investing more than $250,000 to support Black and Indigenous automotive business students. This fall they will begin giving entrance awards to eligible students via the Hyundai Canada Entrance Award Suite. The partnership aligns with Hyundai’s continued efforts to tackle underrepresentation of Black and Indigenous individuals in the automotive industry, and with Georgian’s ongoing work to seek out and welcome diversity across the college.

Social Service Worker Degree Pathway: A new agreement with King’s University College allows students to transfer from the Social Service Worker Diploma at Lambton College to pursue their degree studies in Year 3 of the Bachelor of Social Work. Lambton students will receive 7.5 course credits, and will be required to take either 2.0 or 2.5 courses during the summer to be admitted directly into year 3 of BSW. What’s new: Nova Chemicals Health & Research Centre: This newly constructed 60,000 sq. ft. facility has been intentionally designed to provide optimal exposure to the healthcare industry through interdisciplinary learning. Athletics & Fitness Complex: This 40,000 sq. ft. facility houses a double gymnasium and a 6,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose fitness and studio space. However, the cut off scores and selection for highly competitive programs is higher than the minimum requirement issued. Selection Process for other The selection process for programs that are not highly competitive is based on published programs: admission requirements. Grade 11 marks: In the absence of mid-term or final Grade 12 marks for pre-requisite subjects for a given program, Grade 11 marks may be considered as criteria in the selection process. Dual credits/SHSM Seneca has more than 50 dual credit courses across various academic areas, supporting programs: over 1,000 high school students annually. Courses include aeronautics, psychology, marketing, drawing, design, flight attendant, autoCAD, animal behaviour, forensic crime, nutrition and podcasting. Many courses support Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs. Seneca offers a non-renewable $1,000 dual credit bursary to full-time students in their first year who complete a dual credit course at Seneca during high school and demonstrate financial need. Students apply in September of first year.
