FISHING IN LOMBARDY

In order to fish in Lombardy, you need the fishing license. Only minors (under 18 years old), seniors over 65 years old and disabled people who use the fishing rod, with or without fishing reel can fish without a fishing license. Depending on where you want to fish (see attached map) and your own residence, there are different procedures and permissions. The different fishing areas are indicated on the map with different colours.

Fishing in the light blue waters: you need a fishing license.

To obtain the license you need to pay 23.00 € to Regione Lombardia. You have to go to the post office and pay on the postal account No. 25911207, addressed to "Regione Lombardia". You need to write the reason "licenza di pesca", your personal data and the code “Codice direzione generale di riferimento: M1. The license is valid for 12 months from the release.

Fishing in the yellow waters: you need a fishing license (see the previous paragraph) + association to FIPSAS (valid for 12 months) + Fish catch card (It’s free of charge, you must withdraw it at the Jolly Bar (Via Scalini n. 22, Dongo)

To join the FIPSAS: go to the post office and pay 30.00 € (people born after the 1st January 2003 need to pay 6.00 €) on the postal account No. 1016249458, addressed to "FIPSAS COMO", writing the reason "tesseramento FIPSAS e APS Como FIPSAS 2018".

Fishing in the orange waters: you need a fishing license (see the first paragraph above) + association to FIPSAS (see the previous paragraph) + fishing permission.

To obtain the fishing permission: - Daily ticket: costs 10.00 €. You can buy it in Jolly Bar, Via Scalini n. 22, Dongo (CO). - Annual ticket: go to the post office and pay 50.00 € on the postal account No. 40416463, addressed to "APS – COMO”. Then go to the Jolly Bar (Via Scalini n. 22, Dongo) with the receipt of payment and withdraw the permission and the Fish catch card. The annual permission is free of charge for minors (under 18 years old) and disabled people. The permission expires on 31.12.2018 regardless of the date on which it is made.

- NOTE - • In Lake Como, it is possible to fish with three rods, with 5 artificial or natural baits each. • Fishing at night is permitted from the shore only. • The Lake of Mezzola is subject to the same laws of Lake Como • Fishing between Camper Service “La Punta” in Sorico and the mouth of Adda River is forbidden.

QUOTAS LIMITS:

Every fisherman in every single day of fishing cannot capture more than: • 10 Salmonidae fishes (trout, char, whitefish) • 2 pikes • 2 large mouth basses • 30 perches Moreover, every fisherman cannot catch in one day more than 5 kg of fish, including the species listed above. SPECIAL LIMITATIONS REGARDING BLEAK FISHING: Bleak fishing is only allowed for the supply of fish used as bait, for a maximum amount of 20 units per day per person. The fish must be kept alive in suitable containers. From May, 1st to June, 30th the possession of the bleaks is forbidden.
