Today’s pharmacist does much more than dispense medication. On a given day, you might administer immunizations, provide health screenings such as blood pressure and blood sugar, and assist patients with medication therapy management. In addition to traditional career pathways rooted in community and hospital practice, pharmacy graduates can pursue opportunities in home health care, specialty meds, consulting, managed care, nuclear pharmacy, informatics and specialized clinical practice, among many others. Pre-Pharmacy Transfer Students who have completed one year (two semesters) of college-level course work with a recommended GPA of at least 2.75 (3.00 GPA preferred) are eligible to transfer into the second year of the pre-professional phase (traditional sophomore year). Additional academic requirements include a minimum 3.0 high school GPA and a minimum 1130 SAT score or minimum 23 ACT score. Academic scholarships are awarded, for the entire amount of years of study (maximum 6 years) in the Doctor of Pharmacy degree program, based upon a student’s academic profile (GPA and PCAT scores.)

Professional Pharmacy Transfer Students who have completed two years (four semesters) and a minimum of 64 credits (including required prerequisites courses) are eligible to transfer into the first professional year (PY1) of the Doctor of Pharmacy degree program.
