SWANS REST 67 Witney Street | | | OX18 4RX Swans Rest

“We bought Swans Rest in 2011 after searching high and low for a forever home,” says the current owner, “we even looked as far abroad as Spain and France,” he continues. It is easy to see how they were attracted to Swans Rest; it is peaceful and charming.

“On purchasing the property it was ¹/³ built, it was agreed with the builder that we could change the plans and specifications to create an ideal home at an additional cost,” says Brian.

“We imported 20 tons of soil to raise the flower beds and re-planned the gardens, incorporating 48 Yew Trees that were approximately 18–20ft in height,” he explains.

Burford is the gateway to the , one of ’s prettiest medieval towns with beautiful Cotswold architecture, shops, pubs, galleries and one of the top twenty churches in the country. “It is a truly chocolate box environment,” says Brian.

“Great for families as there are plenty of schools nearby to choose from and with the links to London and the rest of the country makes it an ideal place to live,” he explains.

“My favourite room is the lounge, but my wife would probably say the kitchen or her study,” says Brian. “The house really is a one-off,” he explains. This was due to the fact that we were able to be part of the design concept of the property, its interior and two sunny gardens each side of the house.

“Swans Rest was designed to be used and celebrated by family and friends,” Brian explains.

“We are moving due to relocation, my wife and I are truly heartbroken on having to leave this beautiful property.”

“It has been a wonderful home and we are very lucky to have spent time here,” concludes Brian.*
