CHANGES TO GODSHILL PARISH’S BOUNDARIES WITH AND

Having undertaken a Community Governance Review of the area of Godshill Parish, District Council has decided to make a Reorganisation Order to:

(1) change the boundary of the Parish with Fordingbridge so that Crystal Hollow falls within Godshill; (2) change the boundary with Breamore at the property known as “Armsley” so that the boundary follows the River Avon. This will mean that the triangular piece of land to the west of the River Avon at “Armsley” falls within Breamore Parish.

The changes will take effect on 1 April 2011. A copy of the Reorganisation Order, a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the order, and copies of maps showing the proposed changes are available at: www.newforest.gov.uk (key “community governance review” (without italics) into search box.

The relevant documents are also available for inspection at the Council’s offices at:

The Council is also making application to the Boundary Committee for to adjust the boundaries of the Fordingbridge, Forest North West and Downlands and Forest District Wards so that the boundaries are coterminous with the new parish boundaries.
