Your contributions are helping the Society to develop Event activities and the Young Peoples’ programme and your support is gratefully recorded on these pages. The Appeal Fund remains open for Fellows who would still like to make a contribution.

PROJECT FUNDRAISING New grants of £5m mean that the campaign to develop “partnership projects” has also reached its target. The Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland is supporting research into ageing; a major new award to support Innovation will be funded by the Gannochy Trust and a new series of grants from Scottish Enterprise will create an expanded programme of Enterprise Fellowships. Project grants are strategically important to the Society, because they demonstrate its ability to make a high quality contribution to issues of importance to Scotland and also increase its profile. However the money flows directly through the Society Participant in Young People’s Programme. into the projects and this means the Society still needs to create free reserves to [Photo Stirling University Media Services.] fulfil the programme laid out in the Corporate Plan.
