Assistant in Mathematics

ETH Zurich is looking for qualified candidates from all areas of mathematics. Duties of this position include, in addition to re- search, an active participation in the teaching of mathematics courses for students of mathematics, natural sciences, and engi- neering.

Candidates should have a or equivalent and have demonstrated the ability to carry out independent research. Willingness to teach at all university levels and to collaborate with colleagues is expected. Courses at Master level may be taught in English.

This assistant professorship has been established to promote the careers of younger scientists. Initial appointment is for four years, with the possibility of renewal for an additional two-year period.
