3 Definitioner och förkortningar 3.1 Definitioner Se NES TS 02. 3.2 Förkortningar ATC Automatic Train Control ERTMS European Rail Traffic Management System ETCS European Train Control System ISDN Integrated Services Digital Network 3 (6) BVS 543.19300 Kraftförsörjningsanläggningar. Railway power supply system models for static calculations in a modular design implementation Usability illustrated by case-studies of northern Malmbanan RONNY SKOGBERG Master’s Degree Project Stockholm, Sweden 2013 XR-EE-ES 2013:006 Railway power supply system models for static calculations in a modular design implementation Usability illustrated by case-studies of northern Malmbanan RONNY SKOGBERG Master of Science Thesis Royal Institute of Technology School of Electrical Engineering Electric Power Systems Stockholm, Sweden, 2013 Supervisors: Lars Abrahamsson, KTH Mario Lagos, Transrail AB Examiner: Lennart Söder XR-EE-ES 2013:006 Abstract Several previous theses and reports have shown that voltage variations, and other types of supply changes, can influence the performance and movements of trains. As part of a modular software package for railway focused calculations, the need to take into account for the electrical behavior of the system was needed, to be used for both planning and operational uses. In this thesis, different static models are presented and used for train related power flow calculations. A previous model used for converter stations is also extended to handle different configurations of multiple converters. A special interest in the train type IORE, which is used for iron ore transports along Malmbanan, and the power systems influence to its performance, as available modules, for mechanical calculations, in the software uses the same train type. A part of this project was to examine changes in the power systems performance if the control of the train converters were changed, both during motoring and regenerative braking. A proposed node model, for the static parts of a railway power system, has been used to simplify the building of the power system model and implementation of the simulation environment.

This applies both when carrying out renewals and in the construction of new infrastructure. The challenges imply a need for a general technology strategy that clarifies goals and guides for technological choices. In this context, the central approaches to problems may include: • The choice of the technological platforms of the future and performance requirements for central facilities and systems • Management of the ageing stock of facilities, in terms of maintenance, prioritisation and pace of renewal • International standardisation and requirements for interoperability • Accelerating development and use of ICT-based railway engineering facilities and systems The strategy has been drawn up primarily for internal use, and shall be used mainly as a basis for investigations and principal plans where alternative technological choices and solutions are to be evaluated, and in the procurement of technical systems and facilities. We assume that the strategy can also be useful in other contexts, such as in conjunction with technical discussions with railway undertakings, suppliers and railway administrations. Anita Skauge Executive Director, Strategic Planning Introduction Technology strategy is a broad term, for signalling systems, energy supply and and initially it was necessary to limit and KVIKT (Kjørevei [Eng: track], Informasjon prioritise in order to make the scope [Eng: information], Kommunikasjon manageable.

Prediction of high-speed train noise on Swedish tracks Xuetao Zhang SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden Research SP Technical Energy Technology SP Report 2010:75 2 Prediction of high-speed train noise on Swedish tracks Xuetao Zhang Abstract Aiming at applying the Nord2000 propagation model to predict high speed train noise in Sweden, the noise emission data of X2 trains has been studied. By using the Imagine source model for rolling noise (i.e. the roughness-transfer-function method), it becomes possible to empirically estimate the aerodynamic noise based on the collected inclusive noise emission data. The sound power level per meter train has been determined for each noise type/component (i.e. the rail/track and wheel radiation and the aerodynamic noise) and for the speed range of interest (150-300 km/h). The calculation method is described and the horizontal directivity for each noise type/component is provided. Key words: X2 train noise, high speed train noise, aerodynamic noise, pantograph noise, aero-noise around bogie area, sound power level, horizontal directivity, roughness and transfer function SP Sveriges Tekniska Forskningsinstitut SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden SP Report 2010:75 ISBN 978-91-86622-18-3 ISSN 0284-5172 Borås 2010 4 Contents Abstract 3 Contents 4 Preface 5 Summary 6 1 Introduction 7 2 X2 train noise and the model prediction 8 3 Method to determine input data 16 3.1 Rolling noise 16 3.2 Aerodynamic noise 16 4 Input data for prediction of X2 train noise 18 4.1 Estimation of X2 train pantograph noise
