(BJRR) BA # 5751 This is the decision of the Railroad Retirement Board regarding the status of Baja California Railroad Inc. BJRR has offices in San Diego, California and Tijuana, Mexico. It is a short line operator located in the international border region of San Diego, California and Baja California, Mexico. The BJRR stretches 71 kilometers from the San Ysidro, Califomia-Tijuana, Mexico port of entry to the city of Tecate, Mexico. BJRR interchanges at the San Ysidro rail yard with the San Diego and Imperial Valley Railroad, a covered employer under the Acts (BA No. 3758). BJRR interchanges solely with the San Diego and Imperial Valley Railroad. BJRR runs approximately lA mile in the United States and then goes southbound through customs and into Mexico providing rail freight services to customers from various industries such as gas, construction, food, and manufacturing. Solaris Marek Graff Przemysł taboru szynowego w Polsce Przed 1989 r. kolej w Polsce była podstawą transportu osób oraz w krajach zachodnioeuropejskich – niewielka liczba samocho- towarów. Ówczesny nacisk na rozwój przemysłu ciężkiego – prze- dów prywatnych, przewozy stali, węgla kamiennego (ze Śląska do wozy stali, węgla kamiennego spowodował, iż złoty wiek kolei portów w Gdańsku, Gdyni, Szczecinie i Świnoujściu) powodowały, w Polsce trwał znacznie dłużej niż w krajach zachodnioeuropej- iż z jednej strony kolej była traktowana jako podstawa systemu skich. As part of a modular software package for railway focused calculations, the need to take into account for the electrical behavior of the system was needed, to be used for both planning and operational uses. In this thesis, different static models are presented and used for train related power flow calculations. A previous model used for converter stations is also extended to handle different configurations of multiple converters. A special interest in the train type IORE, which is used for iron ore transports along Malmbanan, and the power systems influence to its performance, as available modules, for mechanical calculations, in the software uses the same train type. A part of this project was to examine changes in the power systems performance if the control of the train converters were changed, both during motoring and regenerative braking. A proposed node model, for the static parts of a railway power system, has been used to simplify the building of the power system model and implementation of the simulation environment. -

TlS Metro ---34937 TF OCT 02 2007 870 .H377 2006 c.3 Harbor Subdivision Transit Analysis Final Report Submitted to: The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Trausportation Authority Prepared by: Wilhur Smith Associates UltraSystems Environmental RAW International December 22, 2006 • Executive Summary HARBOR SUBDIVISION TRANSIT ANALYSIS ANALYSIS BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE In 1992, the former Los Angeles County Transportation Commission (LAcrq purchased the majority of the Harbor Subdivision, the mainline of the former Atchison Topc:ka & Santa Fe Railw:ay (ATSF or Santa Fe) ~tween downtown Los Angeles and the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. As part of that agreement, ATSF retained the right to provide freight rail servia on the portion of the line owned by the LAcre, and LAcre retained the right to operate passenger service on the line. Today, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF), the succ('ssor railroad to the ATSF, still operates freight trains on the line, although the total is a small fraction ofwhat it was at Ute time of the purchase. Neither LACfC nor its successor agency, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), ran any passenger service on the line. The line studied appears as Figure £5.1 on the following page. With this analysis, Metro has attempted to investigate the feasibility of the potential deployment of various transit modes on its portion of the Harbor Subdivision. The attempt has been to make use of as much of the 26.36-mile right-of-way as may be practical, realizing that some sections of the line run through primarily industrial land uses. -
