ITEM: RIOT CONTROL KIT

DESCRIPTION: Riot/Disturbance Control Kit. Each kit contains:

COLOR: Black: All items will have a black or matte-black finish.

GEAR BAG: Specified gear bag designed to carry Riot/Swat gear and a helmet. Quality construction of water resistant Cordura nylon or comparable fabric. Heavy duty zippers and removable shoulder strap. A removable rigid bottom in the interior compartment. Exterior cargo type zippered pockets. This bag must be able to carry and secure a 36" baton .

Dimensions: 34" Long x 10"Wide x 12" High.

UPPER BODY & Upper Body and Shoulder Protector is cellular in design to SHOULDER provide ample torso and shoulder protection without hindering PROTECTOR mobility during tactical situations. The shoulder pads are covered with a hard shell plastic. Durable foam padding and plastic plates are encased in black nylon rigging. The neck roll will consist of 40mm high density sponge foam. Adjustable shoulder and waist straps and contoured design give a secure fit. Front- extended torso panel will provide extra safety of lower mid-section and upper-groin area. Upper body and torso protector will not provide ballistic protection but will provide protection against blows delivered from blunt objects. Adjustable Velcro-style closures will accommodate POLICE labels of high visibility on front and back . Dimensions: -Weight approximately 2lbs. FOREARM Forearm protector designed to shield the entire forearm from the PROTECTOR wrist to the elbow. Construction consist of durable EVA foam covered by a plastic plate encased in a black ring. This will provide ample protection without hindering mobility during tactical or riot situations. This forearnl protector does not provide ballistic protection but will safely absorb blows delivered from a blunt object. ELBOW PADS: Contoured style to fit the movement of the elbow. Padded 1/2" foam covered by Corduranylon. Contoured rubber caps provide additional elbow protection. Blacked -out brass grommets won't reflect light. Extra strong elastic straps with velcro- type closures. One size fits all. TACTICAL Designed for use in tactical operations, repelling, shooting, and GLOVES self -defense, etc. This glove will be made of durable cowhide leather . Features include shock absorbing, closed cell foam on the back hand. 1/2 finger design for maximum dexterity .Layered leather palm for addition protection, with velcro-type closure at wrist. Available in Sizes SM- XXL.

SHIN GUARDS: Hard shell shin guard designed for riot control situations. The hard Polyethylene shell with an interior leg brace to withstand substantial blows to the leg and shin. Built-in kneecap and pad, adjustable or removable foot protectors. Three velcro-type closmes attached to spandex to provide comfort to the back of the leg. A vailable in three sizes.

AUTHORIZATIONS/ The riot equipment listed under specification No. 9161.220 can RESTRICTIONS: only be worn when authorized by an exempt member of the patrol Division. The items listed offer the basic or minimum requirements for Department authorized riot gear.

None of the above riot /crowd control uniform items offer any ballistic capabilities.

The chest protector will have the Chicago Police Department patch to the left lower affixed pad. shoulder

All chest protectors will have the Chicago Police Department's checkerboard border blue/white or blue/gold sewn into the lower portion of the right shoulder pad. No other riot/crowd control uniform items can be worn by any Chicago Police officer unless authorized by the Chief of Patrol.
