ALAN DERSHOWITZ ON THE HOT SEAT AT THE NATIONAL CONSTITUTION CENTER

Dershowitz looks back at his remarkable career with Jeffrey Rosen

Philadelphia, PA (March 11, 2014) – One of America’s most prominent legal minds, Alan M. Dershowitz joins the National Constitution Center to discuss his recent autobiography and his remarkable journey: from early academic struggles growing up in Brooklyn, to joining the Harvard faculty at age 25, to his involvement in the famous trials of O.J. Simpson, , and . National Constitution Center President and CEO Jeffrey Rosen will put Dershowitz on the “hot seat” for his opinions on such issues as censorship and the First Amendment, Civil Rights, abortion, homicide, and the increasing role that science plays in a legal defense.

This program will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 12 p.m. Admission is FREE. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 215-409-6700 or visiting constitutioncenter.org. A book sale and signing with Dershowitz will take place after the program.

Professor Alan M. Dershowitz is Brooklyn native who has been called “the nation’s most peripatetic lawyer.” He is the Professor of Law at . Dershowitz, a graduate of and , joined the Harvard Law School faculty at age 25 after clerking for Judge David Bazelon and Justice . He has also published more than 1,000 articles in magazines, newspapers, journals and blogs such as the Times Magazine, , Wall Street Journal, Harvard Law Review, , Huffington Post, , Jerusalem Post and Ha’aretz.
