I am Geoffrey Chaucer.
I worked as a castellan (governor) at Windsor Castle, but I wasn’t very good at it. I was much better at writing! Every Knight wrote a motto. A motto is a saying which has an important meaning. The Black Prince was a Knight of the Garter. He was so proud to serve his King, that his motto was ‘I Serve’
Examples of good mottos: Loyalty Binds me Shame on he who looks evil on it Hope and Faith God and my right Comfort and Joy Now write a motto that is meaningful to you ………………………………….
My motto:
______My Motto: I am Sir John Chandos, a chivalrous Knight of the Garter A Knight must be good He must learn CHIVALRY. This means he must be good in battle but also do the right thing

Valour — A Knight fights bravely in battle
