Route 1: Around the Hurum area The route starts in Holmsbu, an idyllic ”south coast village” with white wooden houses, guest harbours for small boats and teeming crowds in the summer. Drive south to Rødtangen (a dead-end road) for 2 a magnificent view across Drammensfjorden. Visit Holmsbu Billedgalleri in addition to the local art gallery in Støa and old burial sites from the Stone Age at Rødtangen. Then return to Holmsbu using the same road and take road Rv 281 southeast to Tofte and Filtvet. At Filtvet you can visit Filtvet light- house or enjoy a fine meal at Villa Malla. Then continue on road Rv 281 to Sætre, which is a cosy village with a guest harbour for small boats and a ferry connection with Oscarsborg. From Sætre, take the coast road north to Åros, Båtstø, Nærsnes and Slemmestad, with an impressive view of Oslofjorden. In Slemmestad, you can visit the Geologimuseet’s collection of Røyken granite. From there, first take road Rv 165 in the direction of Røyken and then road Rv 23 towards Drammen. Stop off at Kjekstad Golfklubb if you feel like a round of golf. Then take the road for Hyggen and follow the beautiful coast road along Drammensfjorden until you come to Klokkarstua. Then take road Rv 281 south to Holmsbu. 3

Route 2: Lierdalen Great quantities of fruit and vegetables are grown in Lierdalen. This makes travelling through the valley during the blossom season and harvest period a very special experience. The route starts at Kjellstad on road E18. Turn off at Lierbyen and take road Rv 285 along the east- ern side of the valley to Sylling, where you will get a magnificent view of Holsfjorden. On the return journey, drive along the western side of the valley. Or you can drive the route in the opposite direction. 10 Route 3: Eikerbygdene and Sande/Svelvik The route starts in Hokksund. Here, you can visit Nøstetangen Glass, who make glass in the manner of the old Nøstetangen models. Then take roads Rv 35 and E134 south to Vestfossen. Here, Vestfossen Kunstlaboratorium/Arena Vestfossen is an internationally recognised arena for contemporary art. Drive from Vestfossen on road Rv 35 11 along the idyllic lake, Eikeren. Why not take a trip on the touring boat “M/S Eikern” during the summer season or a canoe trip or bicycle trip in fantastic surroundings? At the south end of the lake, take road Rv 319 eastward to Sande. Sande church from the Middle Age is worth 13 Cappelen Cappelen Målestokk: 1:10 000 a visit. From Sande, take road Rv 319 south to Berger. Here you will find Fossekleiva Brukssenter with Berger Museum and workshops DRAMMEN where handicrafts are produced. Then continue north on road Rv 11. Spiraltoppen (viewpoint, starting point touring, open-air museum, cafe) 319 to Svelvik – which has a ferry connection with Hurum – and along Drammen Golf hele året! 22.
