E-mail: [email protected] The Oslo Rift is the northernmost part of the Rotliegen- des basin system in Europe. The rift was formed by lithospheric stretching north of the Tornquist fault sys- tem and is related tectonically and in time to the last phase of the Variscan orogeny. The main graben form- ing period in the Oslo Region began in Late Carbonif- erous, culminating some 20–30 Ma later with extensive volcanism and rifting, and later with uplift and emplacement of major batholiths. It ended with a final termination of intrusions in the Early Triassic, some 65 Ma after the tectonic and magmatic onset. We divide the geological development of the rift into six stages. Sediments, even with marine incursions occur exclusively during the forerunner to rifting. The mag- matic products in the Oslo Rift vary in composition and are unevenly distributed through the six stages along the length of the structure. Introduction The Oslo Palaeorift (Figure 1) contributed to the onset of a pro- longed period of extensional faulting and volcanism in NW Europe, which lasted throughout the Late Palaeozoic and the Mesozoic eras. Widespread rifting and magmatism developed north of the foreland of the Variscan Orogen during the latest Carboniferous and contin- ued in some of the areas, like the Oslo Rift, all through the Permian period.

Vedtak Hovedutvalg for næring, miljø og kommunalteknikk – 12.10.2017: «Generelt: Nore og Uvdal kommune stiller spørsmålstegn ved den strukturdrivende landbrukspolitikken som har blitt ført de siste årene, spesielt i forhold til at driftsbygninger bør ha tilstrekkelig arealgrunnlag. Det foreslåtte forbudet mot nydyrking av myr passer ikke inn i denne sammenhengen. Det påpekes også at den samfunnsøkonomiske besparelsen ved et slikt forbud bare er på kr 1 million for hele landet, og at dette er lite i forhold til den ulempen enkelte gårdbrukere får. Det meste av det dyrkbare arealet, inkludert dyrkbar myr, ligger i klimasoner som uansett ikke egner seg for kornproduksjon. Et forbud mot nydyrking av myr vil derfor i stor grad få negativ betydning for husdyrholdet og matproduksjonen i Norge. Dette er et viktig moment i vurderingen av søknader om godkjenning av plan for nydyrking, for å hindre at eksisterende ferdselsveier og større stier blir avskåret av innmark.

Området ligger i Eidsvoll kommune i Akershus. Grunnlaget for flomsonekartene er flomfrekvensanalyse og vannlinjeberegninger. Digitale flomsoner for 10-, 100-, 200-, og 500-årsflom dekker hele den kartlagte strekningen. I tillegg er det gitt vannstander for 20-, og 50-årsflom. Det er produsert flomsonekart for et område ved Minnesund og ved Sundet. Flomsonekart for 200-årsflommen samt flomdybdekart for 200-årsflommen ved Sundet er vedlagt rapporten. For at de beregnede flommene skal være mest mulig representative for fremtiden, er det valgt å betrakte perioden etter 1961, dvs. perioden etter de viktigste reguleringene fant sted. Det er derfor ikke tatt hensyn til flommer før 1961. Det er vårflommene som er de største både i Mjøsa og i Vorma. De fleste opptrer fra slutten av mai til midten av juli. Flom i Vorma innebærer en langsom vannstandsstigning på grunn av Mjøsa.

    II. Old Norse Myth and Society HOW UNIFORM WAS THE OLD NORSE RELIGION? Stefan Brink ne often gets the impression from handbooks on Old Norse culture and religion that the pagan religion that was supposed to have been in Oexistence all over pre-Christian Scandinavia and Iceland was rather homogeneous. Due to the lack of written sources, it becomes difficult to say whether the ‘religion’ — or rather mythology, eschatology, and cult practice, which medieval sources refer to as forn siðr (‘ancient custom’) — changed over time. For obvious reasons, it is very difficult to identify a ‘pure’ Old Norse religion, uncorroded by Christianity since Scandinavia did not exist in a cultural vacuum.1 What we read in the handbooks is based almost entirely on Snorri Sturluson’s representation and interpretation in his Edda of the pre-Christian religion of Iceland, together with the ambiguous mythical and eschatological world we find represented in the Poetic Edda and in the filtered form Saxo Grammaticus presents in his Gesta Danorum. This stance is more or less presented without reflection in early scholarship, but the bias of the foundation is more readily acknowledged in more recent works.2 In the textual sources we find a considerable pantheon of gods and goddesses — Þórr, Óðinn, Freyr, Baldr, Loki, Njo3rðr, Týr, Heimdallr, Ullr, Bragi, Freyja, Frigg, Gefjon, Iðunn, et cetera — and euhemerized stories of how the gods acted and were characterized as individuals and as a collective.     Sammendrag Covid-19 og reiselivet i Hallingdal En pilotstudie av effektene av koronapandemien i 2020 TØI rapport 1833/2021 Forfattere: Jan Vidar Haukeland, Petter Dybedal, Iratxe Landa-Mata, Frants Gundersen og Knut Bjørn Stokke Oslo 2021 43 sider Reiselivsnæringen verden over ble hardt rammet av covid-19 i 2020, og Hallingdalregionen i Norge har også i høy grad fått merke de negative virkningene av den globale pandemien gjennom dette året etter nedstengningen av samfunnslivet i mars måned. Nedgangen i antallet gjestedøgn var betydelig i mars-juni, i august og i november. Særlig det nesten totale fraværet av utenlandske tilreisende etter at pandemien slo inn forklarer mye av denne nedgangen. De norske besøkstallene gikk også sterkt tilbake i mars-mai og på slutten av året, men det var likevel et markant oppsving i kommersielle gjestedøgn i skolens sommerferie. Også hyttebruken samt salg og nybygging av hytter har vokst i 2020, og resultatet har vært at deljvare- handelen samlet sett økte i perioden fram til og med august. Spesielt innen salg av bygge- og interiørvarer ol., men også innen detaljomsetning for dagligvarer i sommerferieukene, var det en merkbar vekst. Antallet konkurser har ikke økt i 2020, snarere tvert om, mens den registrerte arbeidsledigheten har økt mye i alle kommunene med unntak av Flå. Intervjuer med nøkkelinformanter i Hallingdalregionen viser at nordmenns økte interesse for å feriere i Norge antas å være en vedvarende trend, og at friluftslivet har styrket sin posisjon relativt sett som følge av covid-19 – noe som kommer til uttrykk i økt interesse for kjøp av fritidsbolig og hytteliv.

In a metropolitan area of this size it is not as easy to see the results of the Norwegian immigration as in smaller towns and rural communities. But the evidence is there if you look for it. This year’s speakers will tell the story of the Norwegians who contributed to the richness of American culture through literature, art, architecture, politics, medicine and science. You may recognize a few of their names, but many are unsung heroes who quietly added strands to the fabric of America and the world. We hope to astonish you with the diversity of their talents. Our tour will take us to the first Norwegian church in America, which was moved from Muskego, Wisconsin to the grounds of Luther Seminary,. We’ll stop at Mindekirken, established in 1922 with the mission of retaining Norwegian heritage. It continues that mission today. We will also visit Norway House, the newest organization to promote Norwegian connectedness. Genealogy research opens at 10 am Thursday and continues to 10 pm for those registered, continuing Friday from 8 am til noon. This year the theme is "AMERIKA FEBER," the malady of ancestors who wanted to try life in a new country across the Atlantic. Contagion spread more rapidly for those whose futures included no rights to inherit property or in homes where there were already too many to feed, especially in the later 1800s. It was the 'fever' to board a ship for America with many promises, even if not all were true. Episodes based on E. Palmer Rockswold's book, PER, will be dramatized Friday evening to highlight the chosen theme. Following the play, there will be dancing in the Redwood Room with seating and soft drinks available in the "Hub". Music will be provided by the Eivind Lundby Orchestra of Loten, Norway--across Lake Mj0sa from Toten. sigdal Lag members will want to see the 1st showing of "SIGDAL", a gift videotape. It will be shown Saturday morning when individual groups meet from 9-3: 30 pm (approx). An afternoon showing at 2 is tentatively planned for those with membership in more than one lag. Pre-registration numbers largely determine which room is assigned, and anyone with an ancestor in sigdal, Eggedal, or Krodsherad is invited to send in the form on page 11.
