2016 (Junior)— An experienced veteran, she enters her senior campaign with 30 races under her belt - the most by any Buffalo on the women’s Nordic team entering the 2017 season.

After struggling in CU’s NCAA Championships -- classic race, she hit her stride and had a pair of top five Utah Invitational 14 18 finishes at New Mexico, both Montana State Invitational 13 17 her season bests, fourth in the classic and fifth in the freestyle, Colorado Invitational 21 26 and in the process she earned New Mexico Invitational 11 12 the RMISA Skier of the Week RMISA Championships 9 21 and CU Athlete of the Week NCAA Championships -- honors for her performance there. She continued her impressive skiing at the RMISA Championships, finishing seventh in the classical race and eighth in the freestyle. In all in 10 races, she had five top 10 finishes and in three additional races, she finished 11th, including in the fCrleueb style race at the NCAA Championships, missing being an All-American by just a few seconds. She was named to the second-team All-RMISA squad and was also given CU”s Outstanding Women’s Nordic Award.

She has 12 top five performances in her career, which included a second-place finish at the 2016 NCAA Championships in the 5k freestyle race. SEASON BY SEASON RESULTS She continued her brilliant skiing in her sophomore campaign and 2015 CL FS finished all eight races in which she competed, bringing home top 20 finishes in all eight races with six top 10s and two podium finishes. Her best finish of the season was a runner-up performance at the NCAA Championships in the freestyle race and her other podium was in classic, placing third at Solder Hollow during the Utah Invitational. She earned first-team All- Utah Invitational 58 America honors for her freestyle performance at the NCAA Championships and was a second-team All-RMISA selection. New Mexico Invitational -- —She skied for 10 years for TJ Dukla RMISA Championships -- Liberec and has been skiing in FIS NCAA Championships 17 2 sanctioned races since 2010, eventually reaching the World Cup level prior to coming to CU in 2014. She first hit the podium in 2011 in an Austrian Juniors race, finishing second in a freestyle sprint race and then taking third in a 7.5K freestyle race. She participated in the Youth Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck, Austria in 2012, taking 10th in the sprint freestyle final and 12th in the team mixed relay. The 2013 Junior World Ski Championships took place in her hometown of Liberec and she took 37th in the 5K freestyle, 38th in the classic sprint final, 44th in the 5/5K skiathlon and ninth in the 4x3.3K relay. She won a Juniors 1K sprint qualifier and took sixth in the final in Bruksvallarna, , in 2013, and a month later in St. Ulrich/Pillerseetal, Austria, she was the runner up in the 1.2K sprint final. She skied in the Slavic Cup in Nove Mesto na Morave, Czech Republic, winning a sprint qualifier and taking second in the final. Her World Cup debut also came at Nove Mesto where she was 45th in the sprint freestyle final and 23rd in the classic team sprint race. She earned two top 10s at the 2014 Junior World Championships in Via di Fiemme, Italy, taking ninth in the freestyle sprint final and eighth in the 4x3.3K relay. Johnsen opened her career with two highly successful seasons for the Buffs, earning All- America honors2 a0s1 b6o t(hS ao pfrheosmhmoarne )a— nd a sophomore. —She skied for As IL from 2000-11 and then for Kjelsaas from 2011-14 where she started participation in FIS sanctioned races. She finished seventh in the Norwegian National Junior Championships in the 5K freestyle race in 2012. She won the 10K classic race and was the unofficial Norwegian National Champion for 15-16 year olds in 2011 and she won the 5K freestyle race in Granasen, Norway, in 2011. She placed fourth in the 5K freestyle race at Granaasen Skiarena in 2013. In February 2013 in Lillehammer, she placed third in the 10K freestyle race at the Norwegian National Junior Championships. 2016 (JuCnomioirn)g— off an All-American season thanks to her fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships in the 15k classic race, she is one of three seniors on a veteran Nordic squad for the Buffaloes. SEASON BY SEASON RESULTS 2015 CL FS Knori pulled in two of the more clutch performances in recent memory after finishing in fifth place in the classic race at the RMISA Championships, her first career top five finish. She the followed that up with a fifth place finish in the classic race at the NCAA Championships and was integral in the Buffs comeback to finish second at the championships. Knori fell ill during CU’s preseason dryland training and never recovered to the point she could compete. Still, she served as one of two women’s Nordic captains despite those facts. She still had a great sense of humor about her situation, in her words, “I was able to hold first place in the Whooping Cough competition based on length and duration,” aCllsuob saying that “six months of coughing is a great ab workout.”

—Knori skied for two years as part of the Sun Valley team in Sun Valley, Idaho, and prior to that for three years on the Jackson Hole Ski Club. For Jackson Hole, she was a three-time All-American and participated at the Junior National Championships in Presque Isle, Maine. For Sun Valley, she had three podium appearances at the Junior National Championships, including second in the Sprint Classic at Soldier Hollow in 2012 and second in the Classic Relay in 2013 in 29 2017 colorado buffaloes

She finished second in a 5K Classic Junior National Qualifier race and sixth in the 10K Freestyle race, also in Soldier Hollow in 2012 and in Alaska at the 2013 Junior Nationals she won her 10K Classic qualifier, was seventh in the Freestyle Sprint and ninth in the 10K Classic. She was awarded the Dave Quinn Award in 2012, which recognizes Junior Olympic athletes who best exemplify the ideals of cross country skiing. —Knori graduated from The Community School in Sun Valley, Idaho, in 2012. She was a three-year letterwinner in Nordic skiing and earned three letters in swimming. In skiing, she was the 2011 Idaho State Champion in the 10K Classic race while her swim team Ithne rteh we oCnl athsrsereo sotm ate championships. She competed in the 100m backstroke and 50m freestyle swimming events.

—Knori is studying environmental dPesrisgonn aanl d architecture at Colorado. After her ski career, she wants to work for a landscape architecture company.

—Jesse Madeline Knori was born May 24, 1994, in Jackson Hole, Wyo., and her parents are Robert Knori and Kisa Francis. While in Idaho, she worked with the Sun Valley Adaptive Sports helping skiers with disabilities enjoy the sport and has also worked for a Rheumatoid Arthritis company doing social media. She is fifth generation Jackson Hole native. She was a competitive figure skater for five years. She enjoys baking, mountain biking, drinking tea, watching Saturday Night Live, making play lists and washing dishes. She chose Colorado over New Hampshire, St. Lawrence, Alaska Anchorage and Montana State and said Colorado was the perfect fit for her to focus on a career in environmental design and be part of a historically great team. Club

—Lervik was a member of Team Asker Ski Club from 2003-16. In 2010 she placed fourth in the youth nation championships. As she grew older, she recorded four top 15 finishes from 2014-16 at the Junior National Championships – she was fifth in the freestyle 7.5KM skate in 2014, ninth in the pursuit in 2014, 1H0igthh iSnc ah 1o0oKl M classic race and 15th in a 15KM classical. She also had a second-place showing in the rollerski race at Lysebotn Opp in 2014.

In the Class—roLoem rvik graduated from Asker High School in Asker, Norway in June 2016. She carried a 3.92 GPA in high school.

Personal — Lervik is in the Leeds School of Business at CU.

— Anne Siri Lervik was born April 1, 1996, in Trondheim, Norway. She is the daughter of John and Ase Lervik and has two younger siblings, Anders and Hannah. Her father is an engineer and her mother a teacher. In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking, hiking and extreme sports in addition to spending time with family and friends. Her uncle, Bjorn Laukli, lettered for the CU ski team in 1993. She chose to come to the University of Colorado because of the beautiful scenery, the sunny and warm weather and she heard great things about the business school and athletic department.

2016 (NJuenwimora)n— is now one of the elder states women on the squad who has competed in the NCAA Championships and has 26 career races under her belt with nine top 15 performances. SEASON BY SEASON RESULTS 2015 (Sophomore)— 2014 CL FS She finished all 10 races leading up to the NCAA Championships with seven top 20 performances and one top 10. She took ninth in the classic race at the New Mexico I2n0v1it4a t(iForneaslh amnda nal) so had her best freestyle finish on the season there, taking 11th. She competed in four races, finishing them all. She placed 11 at the Utah Invitational 7 18 Utah Invitational in the 10K classical event. Montana State Invitational 13 18 —Newman was immediately thrown into action and counted on heavily as Colorado Invitational 14 16 a freshman as one of four freshman newcomers coming in to replace what was the nation’s 2N0ew15 Mexico Invitational C19L 1F5S top women’s Nordic team in 2013. She responded by being the only one of the four to RMISA Championships 15 18 complete all 12 races as a freshman. She had 10 top 20 finishes and one top 10. —Newman skied for the SSWSC Nordic team for 10 years and the Rocky Mountain Junior National Team for four years. In 2013, she finished third in the classic relay and eighth in the classic 10K mass start at the Junior Nationals in Fairbanks. In addition, she earned second in the junior classic sprint at the Senior Nationals in Utah. She also finished 14th overall and was the first junior at the DU Invitational and RMN Junior HNaigtiho nSacl hQouoallifier. Newman also competed in the Norwegian Junior Nationals.

— Lucy Newman was born Sept. 10, 1994 in Steamboat Springs, Colo., to Matt and Lynn Newman. Her older sister, Molly Newman, skied on the Nordic team at the University of New Hampshire from 2010-14 and majored there in kinesiology. In her spare time, Lucy likes to do yoga, go road biking and hike with her dogs. After college, she plans to become an osteopathic physician.

2016 (Freshman)— Rolandsen was thrown into the mix as a freshman where she took sixth place in the classic race at the 2016 RMISA Championships. SEASON BY SEASON RESULTS 2016 CL FS She finished the season competing in 8-of-10 races leading up to the NCAA Championships. She was in the top 20 six times with one top 10 finish. Her best meet was in Beaver Creek at the RMISA Championships, taking sixth place in the classic race and 13th in the freestyle, season highs for both. She was also named to the National Collegiate All- Utah Invitational -- AClcuabdemic Ski Team for maintaining above a 3.5 grade point average and participating at the Montana State Invitational 12 26 RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regional.
