IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF IVON HITCHENS TRAIL: ALLOW: 3 hours PATH: Uneven terrain. At Black Pond leave the Serpent Trail 5(which turns left to the pond) and Follow the footpath to Dye House Emerge at Westerlands Farm. Cross the heathland of Lavington continue straight ahead towards the tiny 8Lane and turn right past Duncton Mill, 12 Turn right towards the buildings 2Common and go straight on as you Burton Park church (dating from 1075) continuing until you reach the A285. and turn left immediately after the house, approach woodland. Bear right before bearing right along the farm track. heading up the road for approx. 500m. still following the Serpent Trail and Turn left here for the Cricketers pub continue until you reach Heath End. Where the track bends right go 9or carefully cross the road and turn Turn right onto a farm track near 6 straight ahead onto the footpath right on the pavement towards Duncton 13 some houses and continue going Turn left on the pavement and carefully over grassland and through an iron Village.
