Hubert Trammer (1975). Architect, architectural critic, teacher. Studies in Architecture at the University of Technology (Master of Architecture 2001, PhD 2017) and University of Karlsruhe ( Programme 1999-2000; currently: Karlsruhe University of Technology). Teacher at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Lublin University of Technology (since 2006; 2017-2021 as Assistant Professor). Formerly teaching at the Architecture Faculty at the Warsaw University of Technology, Architecture Faculty at the Białystok University of Technology and the 1st Communal High School in Warsaw. Co-organized and guided study travels to for the Faculty of Architecture ETH Zürich (2002, 2008, and 2012), Strelka Institute for Architecture Media and Design (2012) and ADS – Working Group German Renovation and Development Carriers (2007). Tutor at student workshops. Guest lectures for: Lithuanian Society of Architects, European Assembly of Students of Architecture, Foundation of Polish Architects, Polish Society of Students of Architecture OSSA, Gallery of the Contemporary Art Wozownia in Toruń, SPOT Culture Centre in Poznań, and Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw. He also co- operated with Cultural Workshops in Lublin, Warsaw Rising Museum, and Museum of the Contemporary Art in Warsaw. In 2020, he participated in the panel E(ste)tics of the Green City at the Poland: The Great Project Congress with a presentation Cities for the People.

Since 2020, Main Specialist in External Projects and Exhibitions Department at the National Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning, a Polish state-owned cultural institution.

Nominating expert for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe Award (editions 2015, 2019, 2022). Member of the jury at numerous architectural competitions including: German-Hungarian-Polish jury of Europan 9 (2007-2008), German-Polish-Swiss jury of Europan 14 (2017), German–Polish jury of Europan 15 (2019), the competition for the best architectural projects and implementations in Lithuania in the years 2008-2009 organized by the Lithuanian Society of Architects (2010), reporting judge in the competition for the seat of Nowy Theatre in Warsaw (2009), reporting judge in the competition for the Seat of the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra with Concert Hall in Warsaw (2010), competition for the block in the Old Town of Krasnystaw (2013). Reporting judge and co-organizer of the competition for the Central Square in Warsaw and the process of public consultations on the square (2017). He participated in the Competition Culture in Europe project (2017-2020) launched by the Architectuur Lokaal foundation from the Netherlands. Within this framework, he co-organized the international Conference on Architectural Competitions in Chęciny (2018).

Author of more than 200 texts on architecture. Since 2001, he publishes regularly in Architektura- murator, a Polish architectural monthly. Correspondent (2006-2016) of A10 New European architecture, a magazine published in the Netherlands. Single contributions also for Architectural Design (2006), a British magazine, MARK (2013), a Dutch magazine, and ERA 21 (2019 and 2020), a Czech magazine.

As a co-operator at the Foundation of Polish Architects (2004-2011), he organized numerous guest lectures of Polish and foreign architects. Since 2020, Member of the Municipal Committee for Architecture and Town Planning of the City of Warsaw. 2010-2018: Member of the Municipal Committee for Architecture and Town Planning of the City of Lublin. Member of the board of the Lublin Branch of the Society of Polish Architects SARP. During military service (2001), he worked as an interpreter at the training of a Polish tank unit in .

Member of the teams mentioned in the architectural competitions (2016 -1st Prize in the Competition for the Local Center in Mokotów in Warsaw – with Maciej Kaufman, Marcin Maraszek, Justyna Dziedziejko and Magdalena Wnęk; 2019 - 1st Prize in the Competition for the Żerański Park in Warsaw – with Magdalena Wnęk, Justyna Dziedziejko. Marcin Maraszek, Maciej Kaufman, and Natalia Trochonowicz – part of the project is a reuse of the concrete waste collected at the site). Architect (in cooperation with Jacek Szlis) of the houses built of renewable materials (wooden house in Warsaw - completed 2008; straw-bale house with guest rooms in Urad near Słubice – under construction).
