By road:

 From , the North and West: Take M25, then A2, leave motorway at A2/M2 Junction 1 for Gillingham. Follow the brown anchor signs for the Historic Dockyard and Chatham Maritime via the A289 and the Tunnel. Take the first exit directly after emerging from the tunnel, turn right at end of slip road, leading up Maritime Way towards Chatham. The campus entrance is the first exit at the next roundabout, signposted Pembroke and Universities at Medway.  From the East: Take M2, leave the motorway at Junction 4 for Gillingham. Follow the brown anchor signs for Historic Dockyard and Chatham Maritime via the A278, A2 and A289. Take the last exit just before the , signposted Chatham and Historic Dockyard. At the top of slip road, turn left up Maritime Way towards Chatham. The campus entrance is the first exit at the next roundabout, signposted Pembroke and Universities at Medway.  Satellite Navigation: The post code for North Road is ME4 4EU. North Road at the bottom end of the Medway campus and leads into the Drill Hall car which is the University of Kent car park. Car parking:

 Enter the Medway campus via the main entrance on Maritime Way, immediately bear left into Pembroke Road and continue along into North Road. (Beware of the speed bumps.) Continue to the end of North Road, passing the back of the Pilkington Building, and the long library building on your right, pass the Building on your left and turn right into the entrance of the Drill Hall car park. The entrance is guarded by a barrier, to gain access you will need to press the button on the barrier and speak to the attendant.  For the Gillingham Building, park near the entrance to the car park and walk through the pedestrian access tunnel, up the steps towards the red-fascia Medway Building. Once at the top of the steps, the white Gillingham Building is on your right. (Should you require disabled access, there is a lift opposite the that will take you from the Parade Ground to the higher level Central Avenue)

By rail:

Chatham train station is the most accessible station for the campus and has regular services from London Cross, London Waterloo East, London Bridge, London Cannon Street, London Victoria, London St Pancras, Ebbsfleet International, and . Call 08457 48 49 50 for train times and further information.

There is a taxi rank and various bus stops outside Chatham train station. You can catch an Arriva bus (service 176) from Chatham train station to Road, where Liberty Quays accommodation is located. For timetable information, please visit www.arrivabus.co.uk[39].

 London St Pancras to Chatham: Journey time approx 40 minutes  London Victoria to Chatham: Journey time approx. 55 minutes  Dover - Direct trains from Dover Priory to Chatham every half hour on weekdays (hourly on Sundays). Journey time approx 70 minutes  Ramsgate - direct trains from Ramsgate to Chatham every half hour on weekdays (hourly on Sundays). Journey time approx 70 minutes.

By bus:

From Chatham train station: Arriva buses 100,140 and 141 leave frequently from the bus stops outside Chatham train station and take approximately 15 minutes to get to the campus. The nearest bus stop to the campus is on Dock Road outside of the campus entrance. This is known as the Chatham Maritime stop or the Compass Centre stop. For the Gillingham Building, go through the gates and straight ahead up Central Avenue. Continue past the University of buildings. Just past the road barrier, the white Gillingham Building is on your right.

In addition, X-bus 116 runs every twenty minutes on Mondays to Fridays between Chatham Waterfront Bus Station, the universities' campus, MidKent College, Gillingham, Rainham, Parkwood and Hempstead Valley. The bus stops outside the Gillingham Building.
