Upper School (9th-12th) Dress Code The Brook Hill School 2019-2020 *Please note that only Land’s End and Academy Uniforms brands are “BH approved”.
Girls’ Daily Attire: • Khaki, navy, or plaid uniform skirt/skort; khaki or navy uniform pants/shorts • Navy or white uniform polo shirt • Closed-toe shoes Girls’ Chapel Attire: • Khaki, navy, or plaid uniform skirt • White uniform blouse (tucked in) • Solid white or navy socks (if worn) • Closed-toe dress flat, dress boot, or deck shoes (no athletic shoes, tennis shoes, or Keds) • BH approved sweater, sweater vest, or navy cardigan may be worn with uniform blouse. No outerwear can be worn during chapel service. No hoodies or sweatshirts may be worn on chapel day. Girls’ Friday Dress: • Jeans, pants, or shorts (must be solid navy, orange, white, gray, khaki only and uniform length) • Brook Hill approved t-shirts/spirit shirts or uniform polo shirt • Closed-toe shoes • NOT ALLOWED: inappropriately tight jeans or pants; jeggings or leggings: athletic shorts; or jeans with rips, holes, frays, or tears. Guidelines for Girls: • Only BH approved outerwear (jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies) is allowed. • Khaki color MUST match the Land’s End and Academy Uniform khaki. • Pants and shorts must be worn above or at the hips. • Shorts must be no more than 2” above the knee. • Appropriate undergarments and modesty shorts are to be worn under skirts at all times. • No sandals, flip-flops, Crocs, moccasin-type footwear, shoes with wheels, house shoes/slippers may be worn at any time. • Warm-ups, skinny jeans, and jeggings are not acceptable. • Leggings (solid white or solid navy) may be worn under uniform skirt only. • Skirt length should not be shorter than 2 inches from the crease of the back of the knee or from the top of the knee in front. • Polo shirts may be worn tucked in or left out. • Only solid white t-shirts or tanks (without writing) may be worn under white uniform shirts or chapel blouse. • Tanks or shirts worn under navy polo shirts must be either navy, orange, white, or gray with no visible writing. • Hats may not be worn during the school day.

No outerwear can be worn during chapel service. No hoodies or sweatshirts may be worn on chapel day. Boys’ Friday Dress: • Jeans, pants, or shorts (must be solid navy, orange, white, gray, khaki only and uniform length) • Brook Hill approved t-shirts/spirit shirts or uniform polo shirt • Closed-toe shoes • NOT ALLOWED: inappropriately tight jeans or pants; athletic shorts; or jeans with rips, holes, frays, or tears.
