Dress Code Please Note: No logos or printing on any clothing or outer wear. Hooded Sweatshirts are not allowed. Lunch Boxes and BackPacks are to be plain with no characters or Logos and no Peace Symbols Denim Fabrics are Not Allowed Girls Slacks/Shorts/Jumpers/Capri/Skirts, Black, Navy or Khaki - No cargo slacks or shorts, please. These should be loose fitting and not baggy, fitting on the waist no low cut. Shorts and Skirts are to be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee while standing and 4inches above the knee while seated. No Tight Clothing or extremely baggy. Shirts - Collared Polo or Oxford (white, navy, light blue, Red or yellow (FPA logo optional). Please note, all shirts must be sized to fit. Shirts should always be buttoned except for the collar button. Shoes - Closed-toed shoes with socks. Athletic shoes with socks are required for P.E. in all grades. Boys Slacks/Shorts - Black, Navy, or Khaki (FPA logo optional) - No cargo slacks or shorts, please. Athletic shoes with socks are required for P.E. in all grades. Hair Boys: Hair must be above the eyebrow, may come to the top of the ear and at the collar. Hair may be highlighted or colored with natural hair colors. Girls: Hair may be highlighted or colored with natural hair colors. On Campus 1. All students will be in FPA dress code every day except on specified occasions (i.e. Spirit Days). 2. Upside down crosses, satanic symbols, such as “peace” symbols are not allowed. Anti-Christ symbols or attitudes will not be tolerated. 3. All students will wear clothing with a proper fit (not tight or baggy). 4. Properly sized and fitted shirts. Boy’s shirts must be tucked in so the waistband is visible. Undershirts must be plain, and must not be visible at any point except at the collar. 5. Belts are to be worn on items made with belt loops. Belts must be worn through belt loops. Cloth/Sash belts that compliment the uniform may be worn, but may not be longer than the skirt or shorts with which it is paired. 6. Boys may not wear earrings or spacers on campus or at FPA events. 7. Boys must be clean-shaven with sideburns no longer than mid ear. 8. Gothic-type apparel including belts, wrist bands, make-up, tattoos, black nail polish, etc. are not permitted. 9. Boots (combat, Ughs, etc.), flip-flops, sandals, and bedroom slippers are not permitted. Cowboy boots are permitted, but no tucked in pants. 10. Girls may accessorize with leggings (Kindergarten – Grade 3 only) or tights or socks (Kindergarten – Grade 12), but these accessories must be solid colored. 11. Athletic shoes are allowed. Athletic shoes are defined as traditional, closed-toe, closed-heal with laces or Velcro closures and rubber-soles. Low-cut or high-tops are allowed. “Keds” are also acceptable. 12. Field Trip/Off Campus Activities All students are required to wear the FPA Navy polo shirt and kahki bottoms. Unless otherwise designated by the administration. Physical Education (P.E.) Class The approved uniforms for P. E. class (grades 6 -12) are to be worn by all students in those classes. Girls should wear shorts under skirts and jumpers for P.E. and recess. A student failing to wear the approved P.E. uniform will have grade points deducted for improper dress. Students may not participate in P.E. classes without appropriate athletic shoes. Students are strongly encouraged to wear or have on hand athletic shoes every day since they have P.E. classes or recess on a daily basis. Parent/Volunteer Dress Code Parents who volunteer at school or who need to be on campus for a period of time are expected to follow the same guidelines as students and faculty/staff. Please pay special attention to the length of dresses, shorts or skirts. blouses/tops that are low cut, see through or that do not cover the stomach are not allowed. No cleavage, back or midriff should be revealed in any clothing for students or parent/volunteers. Tattoos should be covered or concealed. .
